Blanket Patrol started in 2018 in Sydney following the demise of the #247StreetKitchenSafeSpace Community @ Tent City Martin Place.

Blanket Patrol developed as an autonomous grassroots commUnity delivering just in time solutiond to the rough sleeper identified needs of the Sydney Street Community.

We identify as a commUnity not a charity. Our preferred resourcing method is crowd sourcing and we do not accept conditional contributions.

We guarantee that 100% of contributions will be distributed unconditionally to humans in need, and always where contributors intended their contributions to go. We never sell contributions.

To contribute:

New sleeping bags, clothes, blankets, toiletries, shoes, socks & underwear please message any chapter above.

Used blankets, sleeping bags,shoes & clothes MUST be clean and in excellent condition.

Clothes must be clean, ready to hang,sorted by size & gender and in season, packed per size/gender preferably on hangers or neatly folded in clear plastic bags

Shoes must be in excellent condition.

We do not accept matresses, pillows, used underwear or socks.

Our chapters are always looking for helpers in the community to sort items, pick up from collection points, and of course, to meet and engage with our rough sleepers. If you have some spare time, we would love to hear from you
