People aren't homes, they never will be. People are rivers, always changing, forever flowing. They will disappear with everything you put inside them.

“She was beautiful, but not like those girls in the magazines. She was beautiful, for the way she thought. She was beautiful, for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful, for her ability to make other people smile even if she was sad. No, she wasn’t beautiful for something as temporary as her looks. She was beautiful, deep down to her soul.”
— F. Scott Fitzgerald

when you're having a bad day
take a walk outside. just 10 minutes can really boost your mood.
vent. write in a journal, make a voice memo, whatever. have a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings.
think about past challenges you've overcome. you survived those, you can survive this too.
reach out to your support system. do not isolate yourself. human beings need social connections.
sometimes it's okay to put some things off until tomorrow. in the grand scheme of things, life goes on. depending on your situation, taking a break might be the best thing for you right now.

15 Productivity Hacks 💻💭📝💡
Use the Pomodoro Method. Work in focused intervals (typically 25 minutes) followed by a short break. This helps you maintain high levels of focus and gives regular breaks to rest.
If a something takes less than two minutes, do it immediately.
Schedule specific blocks of time for specific activities. This helps in dedicating focus to one task at a time.
Group similar tasks together and tackle them in one go. For example, respond to all emails at once rather than sporadically throughout the day.
Contrary to popular belief, multitasking can reduce productivity. Focus on one task at a time for better efficiency.
Use apps and tools like Trello, Asana, or Notion to manage tasks and projects.
Use the Eisenhower Box or the ABCD method to categorize tasks based on their urgency and importance.
Keep your workspace tidy. A clean workspace can enhance focus and reduce distractions.
Even if one doesn’t exist, setting a deadline can create a sense of urgency.
Large tasks can be overwhelming. Break them into smaller steps to make them more manageable.
Aim for excellence, not perfection. Sometimes waiting for something to be perfect can lead to procrastination.
If someone else can do a task, delegate it. This allows you to focus on tasks that only you can do.
Working for long hours without a break can lead to burnout. Short, regular breaks can help maintain high levels of focus.
Use apps to play background music/noise that enhances concentration or block all notifications to prevent you from checking your phone.
At the end of the week, review what you’ve accomplished and what needs to be adjusted for the coming days.

I want to love you so well, your heart relaxes its shoulders all the way down; your body lets out the breath its been holding. I want my love to be such a safe place, the walls never shiver with sharp tongues or high volume. a love solid enough, when you count your worries for the day, our happiness sits miles from the list.

i don’t think there’s anything more beautiful than having people in your life who make you feel emotionally safe. who welcome you into a judgement free zone. people who possess the maturity to calmly speak about any troubling or difficult topic that may arise. that’s special.
