To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this comic, I am planning to do some redraws of a few panels. I have a few in mind that I'll do, but I am open to suggestions for any specific panels you guys would like to see. No guarantee I'll do them all, but you have all been so integral to the success of this comic, I would love for you guys to contribute if you are so inclined.

My schedule is crazy with life + a toddler which is why I'm starting this two years in advance 😅. Feel free to reblog, reply or message me with your suggestions.

I find it fascinating this blog is still active, so many months later! Do you plan on putting more fan fics into comics?

Well, yes, but they are ones that I have written personally. I'm currently working on turning my Lord of the Rings Fan Fiction Trilogy into a web comic. Its a bit of a passion project and will probably take 10+ years to complete, but I credit my time working on the Blue Sky Web Comic for giving me enough experience and confidence to attempt it.

Hey, did Chell have a bakery? And when, because she seems to have on during blue sky and one after, did she have one before she was used as a test subject? I'm a bit confused.

It would seem that she did have a bakery before she was a test subject (or at the very least she worked for one) since she was the "bagel girl" in Wheatley's memories and delivered baked goods to the Aperture office. I've always taken that as an ironic vocation that Waffles added since Glados goes on and one about cake in the first game.

You know, there are heaps of stuff in the book that's not in the comic. That's fine, that's cool. Not criticising or anything. But There is this scene in the book where Wheatleys talking in the mic under foxglove and it describes him using the mic stand as a arm rest and holding the mic like the goof he is... And there is still lots of stuff in the book that's not in the comic. Sorry, I sound snappy haha and a bit ungrateful to be honest. But hey, I'm new to this and it's brilliant. Thanks.

Thanks :) You are correct. There is a lot I left out. In adaptation, there are always things that don't translate from one medium to another. If I had done an exact 1:1 translation, it would have taken me 20 years instead of 5 :P I encourage anyone who has read the comic to go read the actual novel. The comic was always meant to introduce people to the story, not be a replacement for it.

so i’m a new portal fan, i entered the fandom a few weeks ago and fell in love with the game, and i found out about the blue sky comic at some point, and its became my favourite thing! I’m yet to read the fanfic, but oh my god you have made a wheatman enjoyer very happy from making this! I introduced it to my friends cause i had nobody to talk about portal and blue sky with and we all love the entire series, and if its okay i’m making a webcomic of my own with some inspiration from the comic adaptation of blue sky, if you’re not cool with this then i don’t mind just making it a personal project with my friends! But again thank you for making me so very happy!
