So I've been with no internet for the last 4 days (some idiot outside my house cut the internet wire and the company is taking forever to come and fix it) and I've been surviving with the internet of my phone and doodling in between work. Without internet I can't move the files from my computer to my ipad so I won't be able to share any polished doodle 😭 that being said the commissions as well.... Buuuuuuut

[ lavender ]  if you could change one thing about the rpc as a whole, what would it be?

((Gods...I've done my fair share of RPCs and the like. I have only experienced two things that I thought were hhhh and wished would changed but it was isolated incidents that also happened 13 years ago.

I mean you can't stop it from happening (especially if OOC stuff happens along with that) and I have been guilty of it but when a muse falters or go away to let partners know of it so they're not waiting forever. I had it happened to me and I know I have done it to others and I am so sorry about that to those who maybe have followed me and I have just dipped on.

But don't be afraid to let partners know that your muse might be going away or that OOC stuff is preventing from RPing this way. I know if my partners come up to me saying that, I would be flexible and understanding or even asking if this thread/verse isn't working, what if we do it this way instead?

I think because of discord/tumblr messaging etc, there are better ways to communicate with a partner nowadays then back in the early days of tumblr RP where I would talk OOC to partners in the tags or in the same thread but just in brackets))

[ mint ]  when did you start your blog? what made you start it?

((I started role-playing as Seto in late April of 2013. I was under the URL KCorpKaiba and then went to Kaibaisms some time later.

I think what started it was that I was going through getting more comfortable doing indie RP on tumblr and it was during the time of year where I was doing a re-watch of Yugioh.

I guess you can say it was a hyper-fixation and the need to write one of my favorite characters post-canon/alternate universe wise. Plus it was about a few years before anything DSOD came out and since I kinda fell off anything recent YGO related (as in stopped playing the card game, watch any other anime etc) I was comfortable with a familiar character and take a shot at him))

So hi it's been a moment and I want to give an update OOC wise.

I have recently immigrated to Europe to be with my fiance! It has been quite an adjustment and I have been here for about a month now. I was also dealing with movers, ending a previous job, saying goodbye to friends and family etc.

But I am hoping with the time now (until I have a job again) I can get back to good old Kaiba-Boy.))

Not that Kaiba didn’t trust Yugi or his grandfather for that matter but he had to keep this under wraps for the most part. He kept this long enough in silence and even Yugi knowing the truth was a bit of a predicament. Still, Kaiba had to think of something.

“I mean…you could say that you were attacked. You could say it was a vampire and even that I found and helped you. Just don’t mention to him that I am one.”

On cue, the familiar black limousine pulled up as Roland got out of the car. He looked at the faint fire and then at Kaiba and Yugi.

“Sir?” Roland asked before Kaiba opened the door.

“Yugi is aware of me. There was another who attacked him so I did what I had to do.”

Yugi tried to duck and elbow his assailant in the ribs. But he found brick in place of bones. Equally steely fingers locked around his throat and swung him down. His shoulders met pavement. Curled arms kept his skull from cracking open, but his phone was not so lucky. It skidded and dimmed. Lifeless.

He'd have to worry about that later. Shadows pounced from the alley. Fast, sharp, jagged. Then the weight was ripped from his chest and clattered into the wall besides him. His ears rang. Viscious harsh snarls turned his blood cold. Wild dogs? No, not any he'd ever seen. Ghastly. Spindly. Pale. Eyes red with hunger. Just like the stories.

Just like...

"...Kaiba?"

It couldn't have been! That face! Ink scarred and furious. There was no way! But those had been his eyes. Blood red or blue, he'd recognize them anywhere.

"Shit!" Wobbling Yugi climbed to his feet and willed down the white spots dancing in his peripheral.

He was probably just seeing things. Fear and vertigo smearing Halloween all over everything, turning the familiar into something grotesque! But if Kaiba really had come to his aid and their attacker was still out there...

No need to finish that thought. With only a broken cellphone and a million questions, Yugi gave chase.

“He was the first person to know.”

Of course Roland had the unfortunate experience of witnessing the end of everything that happened years ago with his step father. Kaiba trusted Roland with his life…well death. Still, his driver and head of security knew him better than anything.

He sighed softly as he brought up his phone to his ear as he examined Yugi’s phone from a distance. Looked like it was just a cracked screen and probably a battery outage. He could look at it more if the other wanted him to.

Or buy him a new one. Whatever came first.

“Good morning,” he spoke on the phone. “No, I didn’t lose it. Yes, I know what time it is. I am with Yugi Mutou and he needs a ride back to Kame. We are by the start of the woods. I can tell you the story in the call. Yes. Yes. No. Alright, thanks. See you.”

He hung up the phone and slid the phone back into his pocket.

“Ride will be here in five minutes. If you want to call your grandpa you can use my phone temporarily.”
