Clan Kryze regroups, unwinds, and recovers.
The final chapter. Many tears. I will miss writing this story. Thank you for loving it.

I might not have a whole lot going for me right now, but what I do have is a 17-slide PowerPoint presentation about why Korkie Kryze is actually a Kenobi, and isn’t that enough?

Night Terrors
He woke with a jolt, his heart pounding and sweat causing his night clothes to stick together. With a heavy sigh he buried his head in his hands, trying to get the image of those he loved dying out of his head.
Night terrors. Always conjuring images that never existed.
Taking some slow breaths, Korkie ran a hand through his sweat soaked hair. He needed to shower… and maybe some tea. His father had sent a package of exotic teas from the last planet he had been on, with a note to each of them.
Korkie paused while he threw back his covers, thinking he heard something in the rest of the apartment. He shrugged it off - it was probably one of the Tookas doing something they weren’t supposed too.
The shower was quick, loosening his muscles and clearing his head a bit.
When he stepped out of his room and walked into the living room, he stopped abruptly.
“Ben?” he asked, frowning a little despite the excitement that was starting to bubble. It was still to weird to call him ‘Dad.’
Obi-Wan blinked his eyes open, turning from his spot on the carpet near the couch and smiling.

keep lying (to me) ch. 3: kill of the night
Obi-Wan Kenobi x Jango Fett
summary: The Jedi Council has heard rumors of a Sith working closely with Mandalorians. They send newly knighted Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos to the heart Mandalore to investigate these rumors. Infiltrating Mandalorian society is harder than expected, especially if said society hates you because of a centuries-long conflict. But that’s nothing a little secret romance won’t fix.
word count: 2.3k
rating: t
warnings: suggestive themes, more bad words
a/n: ahhhh starting to get to the heart of it now eeeeeee
previous chapter,
“And where have you been?”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes at Quinlan’s overly dramatic impression of their crèche-master. “Gathering intel and being useful. I’m sure you wouldn’t understand what that’s like.”
Quin snorted from his spot at the table, burying his nose back in his pile of datapads and wires. “More like causing problems.” He leveled a look at Obi-Wan. “Don’t think I didn’t know about your escapade last night. Who’d you go meet? Meet someone special?”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes again and sat down next to his friend. “I was exploring the city. Finding us a way out if something goes wrong,” he lied. Then, he leveled Quin with a look, who just ignored him for his datapads. “Have you found anything?”
“Yeah, but it’s…weird,” he said, his brows furrowing.
Obi-Wan mirrored his friend, scooting closer to him. “What do you mean?”
“Do you remember what Katrin said last night about Galidraan?” Quin asked. When Obi-Wan nodded, he continued. “Well, I might have found out more about it. At least the Mandalorian version of it.” He slid a datapad toward Obi-Wan.

Did someone wish for a Tom Holland Korkie? What a great idea, mate.
I had fun Korkie-hairying Tom and putting him next to 2 versions of Obi-Wan.
Dave Filoni, take note please.
Which version is your fave? Strawberry blonde, fire red and wavy or something in between?

‘I could kiss you right now’ for obitine? 😬😬
(from these prompts)
“I’m starting to think this martyr thing is an obsession.”
Obi-Wan’s head snapped up from the ground. “What?”
The Duchess leaned against the tree with a small smile. “It’s freezing out here.”
“I’m fine.”
“Move over.”
“I don’t–ah. Hello.”
She laughed as she moved closer to him on the small log, draping her blanket so that it covered his shoulders as well. “Hello.” A grin. “Don’t they teach you how to talk to women at that illustrious temple?”
“Many Jedi at that illustrious temple are women,” he pointed out.
“So what’s your excuse, Padawan Kenobi?”
“I uh–“
She nudged him with her shoulder. “What you did earlier…for your Master. That was…” She swallowed. “That was really brave.”
“Oh. No, it was just–“
“Take the compliment. I don’t offer them very often.”
He dipped his head. “Thank you.”
They sat in the silence for a moment. The days had turned into weeks and the weeks had just turned into a third month of being on the run, hopping from place to place, avoiding near-miss after near-miss. While the extended mission itself was exhausting and made him miss home, he found that didn’t mind the company.
“I’ve noticed you do this a lot. This…not sleeping thing.” Satine gestured to the small clearing she’d found him in, far from his sleeping Master and the warm fire of their camp.
“I do my best thinking at night.”
“How inconvenient.”
He chuckled. “No kidding.”
She paused and then turned toward him. “Anything specific keeping you up tonight?”
Obi-Wan swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how very close her face was to his. “Oh, uh–not really.”
She lifted an eyebrow. Unimpressed.
He sighed in resignation. “Qui-Gon.”
“I knew it,” she said.
“You…did?” he asked in surprise.
She shifted, readjusting the blanket so it more adequately covered both of them. That required her moving closer to him. “You two are terrible at communicating with each other.”
“We’re…different.”
“That’s an understatement,” she laughed. “But…I though diversity was valued among the Jedi.”
“It is,” he nodded. “But most Masters and Padawans are able to…work it out. Qui-Gon and I are still…figuring things out.”
“You’ve been together for four years.”
“Yes,” he grimaced.
“When he spoke with you today,” she said, quietly, “what did he say?”
“After the–“
“Yes.”
Obi-Wan paused. Truth be told, he was still hurt by his Master’s words. The last thing he wanted was for the hurt to bleed into anger and disparaging his Master to the Duchess. Qui-Gon didn’t deserve that and Satine didn’t deserve to be in the middle of it.
“He was, um…upset.”
“That you saved his life.”
“Yes, he said it would be…embarrassing…for a Padawan to die before their Master.”
“Embarrassing for who?” she asked incredulously. “I was there today. What you did was brave–“
“Qui-Gon has lived a difficult life. He often chooses words he doesn’t mean to…mask his emotions.”
“Well, that’s stupid.”
“That’s Qui-Gon,” Obi-Wan shrugged with a small smile. He’d gotten used to his Master’s strange way of showing concern over the past four years. Mostly. It was on days like today, when he was already feeling less than adequate that Qui-Gon’s aversion to affection still bothered him.
“He does care for you,” she said after a moment.
“I know,” he sighed. Because it was true. He did know.
Satine laid her head on his shoulder, lightly bumping his chin.
He didn’t move, unsure of what he was supposed to do or say. The Duchess was the first person outside of the Temple he’d had any sort of real conversation with. He wasn’t sure whether or not he call her a friend, because his mandate was to protect her. As soon as this mission was over–whenever that would be–he’d be leaving.
“Do you think you’ll ever take on a Padawan?” she asked softly.
“Maybe,” he said, surprising himself with his own answer. “But I’m…not sure how good of a teacher I would be.”
“You’ll be brilliant.”
He was glad she couldn’t see his cheeks reddening.
The wind around them picked up, pushing the blanket off of Satine’s shoulders. She moved to pull it back up and around her before settling even closer against Obi-Wan. Tentatively, he rested an arm across her shoulders.
“Do you want some…kwazel candy?” he blurted, because it seemed like the right thing to do.
“What?” she snorted.
His blush deepened. “Uh…kwazel candy. I…I have some.”
She picked her head up from his shoulder and hovered a couple inches from his face, studying him. “I could kiss you right now. Just so you know.”
He froze.
“I won’t,” she continued. “Because I know you’d probably pass out. But I could.”
Obi-Wan blinked. “You…you–“
She laughed and put her head back on his shoulder. “Maybe someday, Padawan Kenobi.”

The first chapter of my new fic is up!
Vetus Amicus.
Ahsoka had been through it all since leaving the order, and now she was back on Coruscant, living with her master and his family. She is grateful for their love and care but the fears of her past keep coming back to haunt her. It seems as if an old friend is dealing with the same problems after discovering his true heritage.
