    Raven tugs the hairbrush through her still slightly damp hair, thankful that her short hair makes the task easy and painless aside from the odd snag of a tangle. The training today had her work up a worse sweat than usual, and she was all too happy to shed her sticky leotard and shower the evidence of her exertion away. She almost considers putting on some more casual clothing, but opts for another leotard of the same style as the one she just put in the wash– it always pays to have extras, after all. Perhaps if she were heading out with just Starfire she’d consider a loose sweater and jeans, but she didn’t want to give the boys a reason to make her the focus of their conversation.

    She just finishes dressed when she hears the obnoxious, insufferable yell. Impatient, excitable, and all too eager to get his hands on some pizza, she supposes. It’s easy to grit her teeth and leave her room, her mind stewing with some choice words for the shapeshifter as she enters the living room.

    “If getting pizza on a Wednesday afternoon is your idea of a party, then maybe you’re not the party animal I took you for.”

When she heard the call, Starfire realized that she was late. Too distracted had she been - first talking a bit to Silkie, then she had searched through her cupboard as she had feared she’d have lost one of her favourite plush figures, and once she found it she had to organize it a nice sitting spot between the others again - and so she had entirely forgotten to prepare for their pizza-time. Luckily, there wasn’t really much preparation she needed to do. A quick combing through her hair, though if necessary she could always help straighten it with her hands too, checking that her clothes were alright, and for a moment pondering if she should wear something else than her usual uniform; but deciding on a different outfit would take a good amount of time and she was already delayed, so that was out of the option.

After maybe one more minute or so, she quickly flit out of her room and to their meeting spot, happily joining her already present two friends as she had arrived just in time to still catch what Raven spoke.

“Oh, but we are a group and we are gathering to talk and eat, so it does fit the definition of, and therefore is, a party!”

oh, good. he'd shown up just in time for the sass-off to begin. vic catches himself smirking--just a ghost of a curve twitching the corner of his lips--before kori manages to diffuse the situation [ for now ]. still, he can't help but chuckle, folding his arms against his chest as he comes to a stop and 'connects' the group in a square.

         ❛ star's got a point. doesn't matter what         time'a the day it is, it's midnight somewhere. ❜

he pauses just long enough to send raven a playful little wink, one he knows is a gamble. she'd either ignore it or be bitter with him for half the evening. but he was willing to play that hand.

out of the corner of his eye, he catches gar shooting raven a sort of triumphant grin, and 'accidentally' cuffs him across the back of the head as he goes to scratch the side of his neck. the goblin squeaks, but vic knows it's dramatics.

         ❛ speakin' of. who's up for some fun after a late         lunch? i'll chip in if y'all wanna go for a bowl, maybe         some mini-golf or... i'nno, the arcade? hear they         got some new games in last week. ❜
