Here's another bittersweet scenario:

We've all seen those fics where Luz wakes up from a nightmare, goes to Eda's room and stays with her for the night, or Eda hears her wake up and Luz asks her to stay.

What if it was the other way around?

Eda would be just as traumatized as Luz is after watching her almost die, and most likely would have nightmares about it. Nightmares about her kid dying and there being no way to bring her back.

And when she wakes up, she gives in to the urge to sneak into Luz's room. She's stealthier then Luz is so she manages to not wake her up. So, she stays in Luz's room for the rest of the night, keeping watch over her to reassure herself that she's alive and real. (Bonus points if Eda has a protective arm over her!)

Knowing Eda, if Luz woke up, Eda would probably make excuses like "I sleepwalked" or "I thought I heard a mouse" but Luz would be able to see what's up and offer to let her stay. Eda happily does, saying "yesthankyou"

Or, Luz is already awake when this happens, and Eda, still stuck in the nightmare, hugs her out of relief.
