I haven’t posted anything about the season 3 teasers that have been coming out for several reasons.

1. I just haven’t had the time.

2. Netflix is pissing me off. They are holding the trailer hostage and they did Polin fans really dirty on Polin day by only releasing a teaser. Don’t get me wrong I definitely didn’t hate the actual teaser but we deserved so much more than that.

3. The new teaser of Debling has me fuming just as much as Luke Newton. I don’t understand why everyone is loving on this dude. The still they released of him looks menacing and Pen looks distressed and he’s touching her like that in public? Like what is happening? I have a theory but I feel like it’s farfetched. Like maybe he finds out she’s LW and propositions her or something. Or he’s in cahoots with Cressida. I don’t know but I honestly just hate it.

And if they turn this into a love triangle when we’ve had love triangles in season 1 and 2 I’m going to revolt.

In my desperation for Bridgerton season 3 I’ve done yet another rewatch including Queen Charlotte and I’m curious if we’re going to see a time jump at all in season 3 or if they’re just going to take some creative liberties with real historic events. The beginning of present day for Queen Charlotte would be 1817 with the death of Princess Charlotte and I think we’re meant to believe that that takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of Bridgerton. Season 2 ended in 1814. Based upon when Violet talks to Lady Danbury about the goings on of her children and seeing her with her grandchildren indicate that we didn’t jump ahead more than a few months to a year. Just curious if the writers threw caution to wind and want us to ignore timelines.

Regardless it’s Polin’s time to shine. Let’s go!!

I’m absolutely reeling from these new stills. I think the first still of Colin is him reading what LW wrote about his “I’d never dream of courting Penelope Featherington” comment. And the picture of them together and his hand is BANDAGED!!!! It’s happening. He cuts his hand and she nurses him. Plus she is stunning. They also look like they’re scouting for a new suitor and that’s annoying. Unless they’re also making some more barbs and in that case I’m all for it. Okay merry Christmas to us.

It’s taken me some time to process the Bridgerton release date. While I’m thrilled there’s a date I’m also equally annoyed. Here’s some thoughts:

1. They held this hostage for SO LONG. And it was not necessary.

2. It was also not necessary to wait until May. Like what are we waiting for? It’s been forever since the shows been done. And I know they were on strike but Julia Quinn even said she’s seen the first four episodes. So…May isn’t necessary. How about February?

3. If you’re going to have a really late release we could’ve had more than 8 episodes.

4. Splitting the season is the worst part of this. Especially since there’s only 8 episodes. What is the point? I guess they think they’re going to up the viewers and memberships but this is something that would drive me away usually. So…I personally hate it. But you can guarantee I’m going to watch those four episodes religiously until the last four are released a month later.

5. I was also annoyed there was no new content in the teaser. To me it wasn’t a teaser. They better promote the hell out of this season since now they have 6 months to do.

6. I find it odd that they didn’t wait closer to the actual release date like they did previous seasons. I don’t know if it was because it was leaked and they figured why not release it or if it was planned. It was just so bizarre how it played out and really came out of nowhere.

7. My little Polin heart is pining over here and wishing it was May.

If you aren’t watching Sweet Magnolias get on it. It’s gonna hold me over until Bridgerton season 3 arrives. Spoilers ahead:

Anyway just here to say I am now a hardcore (already was but it’s deeper now) Ty and Annie shipper. And boy do I have thoughts but I’m also going to need a rewatch to be able to really articulate them fully. I was expecting them to get together this season and I was so so disappointed in how it unfolded even though it was still super cute.

You can tell why I ship them because they’re exactly like my Polin. Unrequited love. Friends to lovers. She fell first he fell harder. All that.

For now let’s just say if there’s no season 4 I’ll revolt.

Doing another rewatch and it makes my brain go a little feral. Here’s some thoughts you didn’t ask me for about this scene right here:

1. What are you looking at Pru? Don’t think we don’t see you watching Pen walking over to Colin. Maybe in season 3 we see Pru being a little more aware of Pen and her actions and maybe she’ll out her sister about some things. She knows they were writing letters by this point so…it’s just interesting she is putting interest into what Pen is doing since no one else really cares much.

2. I mean we know Colin is a dumb boy but man he really doesn’t hold back in this scene. He gives the heart eyes and then we all know what he says at the end. Bless his heart for being blind.

3. Pen totally fishing for info on Colin’s “mystery” woman only to discover there wasn’t one. I use this scene as some of my evidence to hope and believe Colin still has his v card. He’s sworn off women, obviously.

4. Sorry. Back to dumb boy Colin when he tells her that it was her letters that encouraged him to start seeing himself the way she sees him. I take this to mean self love and discovery and dear lord. In the book Colin admits to being aware that Penelope had been in love with him and it made him uncomfortable. I’m not sure if at this point that’s what is happening here but I don’t think so because why would he even bring it up if it made him uncomfy? So…I’m going with he’s still just dumb boy Colin.

5. You’re my friend. Yeah whatever Colin Bridgerton. Why are you always reaching for her hands? Remember the look in your eyes seeing Pen upon your return home? Okayyyyy.

This picture had me thinking how often these two were left alone unchaperoned. Which is really almost every interaction they have. But there’s been several moments where it’s literally just been the two of them. Not to mention no one seemed to even notice when Colin took her hand and whisked her away and SHUT THE DOOR in season 2 episode 8. Y’all … I’m so excited for what’s about to happen in season 3. Let’s go!!!!!

The season 3 pics have me reeling. I’m over here trying to find the connections.

So here’s a potential theory based off pictures 1 and 4 being connected. What if…this is after the carriage and proposal because Colin now knows that she’s Whistledown and she’s like so confused and doesn’t want to trap Colin and ya know… hence why she looks the way she looks in the window, pondering all the life choices. Then it’s the night of their engagement ball because Colin moves quickly. And so the pining pic leads right into the first time. They’ll have it out and they’ll confess the love and get to the love love. And break some furniture. 😈🥵🌶️🪞

Tudum happened yesterday and we didn’t get nearly what I expected to get. And I honestly was incredibly disappointed because I had such high expectations. I feel like Netflix just messes with us all the time. However…

I’m going to relish in what they did give us. Mama Nic knows what we all need and I know she was dropping hints and all kinds of things yesterday. Everybody see the non spoiler spoiler of “Luke and I broke a piece of furniture”? Too good.

There were also non confirmed rumors and things floating around that I suppose are worth mentioning and I don’t know if we believe them or not even though most leaks end up being correct where Netflix is concerned:

1. Potential 12/14/23 release date. Netflix Portugal posted the first stills of season 3 along with this date which was quickly deleted. They have done this before so…if it ends up being 12/14 we have to find ways to entertain ourselves for the next 5-6 months.

2. Potential 10 episodes? There was an article floating around with captions of which episodes they were from. The one picture said it was from episode 10. After checking IMDb it is still slated for 8 episodes and I honestly don’t think they have strayed from this. I’d love to have 10 episodes but I really think it ended up being a typo. The article was also edited and the caption now reads “in an episode” instead of “in episode 10”

Now onto my thoughts/analysis of the pictures.

1. They both look stunning. And I was so happy that out of the pictures we got they’re all just of them which I think really means they’re hyping up this romance. There weren’t pictures of like Portia or other minor/major characters and I would have felt incredibly jipped if they had gone that way.

2. Not necessarily about the stills but Nicola invited us along in the carriage ride and my little Polin heart almost exploded. We are definitely getting the carriage scene. I’m living for it. There was no mention of mirrors but she did also mention fans of the books know what she’s talking about and what we’re in for so…I’d say mirrors are going to be big in season 3.

3. The first picture and the last picture show Pen in the same dress. The news article reported this as being from episode 2 so…if we already get a kiss in episode 2 I may 🪦 on the spot.

4. I’m thinking these stills are all from episodes early on in the season. The picture of Colin solo we know will be from episode 1 as he’s returning from abroad. The only one I’m not sure about is the one where they’re smirking at each other. I’d love to think that maybe this is them post marriage but I don’t think it is. Time will tell. I’m wondering if this is more of a day party (maybe with an eclaire?!?!) I’d love it.

It’s TUDUM time. All the Bridgerton fans are living their best life this weekend as we celebrate Queen Charlotte and anticipate season 3. May the Bridgerton and Netflix gods smile down upon us.

So what do we think we’re going to see?

I’m super greedy and I want all the things. I want a clip and a trailer and a release date. And those will remain my hopes and dream until they are crushed.

So I think it’s realistic and entirely possible that we are going to get either a clip or a trailer. I won’t commit to one or the other but we will see something substantial. I don’t think we’ll get a release date as much as I want it. Or it’ll be reversed we’ll get a release date and nothing else.

Anything else beyond this is a nice little bonus as long as they treat us handsomely.

Also we’ll miss Lukey Newts this weekend. We will feel his spirit.

You know how Colin Bridgerton tells Penelope Featherington to tell him if he does something she doesn’t like? And she basically is like that’s impossible.

I’d love for a tiny little rewrite here. Because we know Colin is a simp and the man will do ANYTHING to make her “happy” so I just want the words to change a smidge.

“Tell me what you like. Tell me what you need.”

I get that the book really focuses on all the females and their inexperience and that was classic for the times. But I feel like Penelope knows what she wants. And they’re both going to be kinky as hell. And they both freaking love words so…we demand some dirty talk.

Boom.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying they see a lot of similarities between a young Violet Ledger and Penelope. While true I think that there were stand out moments in Queen Charlotte that will lead into a relationship between Agatha and Penelope.

1. Agatha grew up taught to like the things her future husband liked. Gold being the big example. Hello. Huge connection to Penelope being told what to wear, particularly yellow.

2. Agatha is a self made badass woman. While it came a little later in her marriage she went and got what she deserved. And after her husband died and she was offered another marriage she made her own choices that inevitably led to an amazing life on her own. Penelope I think is in the beginning stage of this. She is a badass but I don’t think she knows or really believes it yet. But she will. I kinda hope that in season 3 she actually realizes she doesn’t need a man. And that in actuality she ends up marrying Colin for no other reason than she genuinely wants it.

These are the two main connections that I think they’ll delve into through season 3. I’m so interested to see Lady Danbury’s influence in this season. This could be a start.

Back to fantasizing about things I want to see in bridgerton season 3 after having queen Charlotte pretty much on repeat the last 10 days.

Seeing Lady Danbury explain the “marital act” to Charlotte made me hope that Penelope isn’t as innocent as she seems.

I can picture Penelope knowing she needs to write about love affairs and such but she doesn’t really know about it so she decides she should probably do some research. I can picture Madame Delacroix explaining and teaching Penelope things.

As a viewer we don’t see that happen but there’s a moment in season 3 where things are getting steamy and Colin protests because “she’s an innocent”

And Penelope will be like, “I’m not as innocent as you would believe me to be.” And I will scream.

And after said steamy times Colin would be in awe (because he’s also a virgin - not proven just my wishes and dreams) and he’ll be like “you’re a goddess. Never knew that thing that you did to me was possible.”
