Household Cleaning Tips - How to Clean House

Cleaning house is something that needs to be done and needs to be done often. I mean who wants to leave in a messy house? Well, I know some that you might guess love living in a pig sty but really it all comes down to laziness.

The fact that their house is messy is only because they think it is difficult to clean. Problem # 1 here lies within the fact that they don't clean but once a year. It's no wonder they think it's hard to clean, they don't do it often enough and/or they don't know how to maintain the cleanliness of the house when it is clean.

Dividing household chores up equally to all household members is the best way to maintain your clean house. You just have to make sure everyone sticks to their duties. As far as cleaning the house itself when it comes time to clean, there is a method and tips you can use to help you clean house much faster and more efficient so you can get back to your normal life activities. Here's a brief rundown on how to clean house.

The first thing you should do when you decide it's time to clean house is to throw away all the trash. Pick a room to start in (I usually start in the dirtiest room) , grab a trash bag and start throwing away all the trash including things you are not going to use anymore. I know it's hard to part with some things, but the general rule of thumb is, if you haven't used it for a year, you need to get rid of it!

After you have emptied the room of it's trash and unused items, you now can start to put away things in their respective places. You should also find you have plenty more room to do so now because you have made more room by ridding of all the unused junk. Put things away in the places you find most convenient to you.

Now you'll want to dust everything, clean surfaces and then vacuum or mop and clean the floors. Of course at this point everything should be put away which will make this process much easier. After you have knocked out one room, move onto another until you have tackled the entire house.

Now that you know how to clean house, your next step is to get off your butt and do it! Once it's clean it's best to maintain the cleanliness so you won't have to work so hard the next time you go to clean. Or better yet, you won't have to clean at all!
