Jeongin had a habit of leaving in the afternoon and staying out until late in the night. He was young, finally able to party and drink as he pleased. So even though it may seem overdone to some, the boy himself was having a great time. This time though, they had him drinking fireball which was quite dangerous for the boy as it got him drunk quickly. Stumbling into the dorm, he looked up at Chan with a small grin. “Channie!” he giggled, wrapping his arms around him rather easily. “I did, I had a lot of fun. They gave me fireball which made me feel really good.” The boy followed Chan’s lead, heading to his bedroom for the evening. “We’re already going to bed?” he whined, jutting out his bottom lip. “I wanna stay up a bit.”

Chan couldn’t help the way his cheeks started to warm at the way the younger male wrapped his arms around him. It was something he usually did with the other members but he blamed it on the fact that his feelings were messing with him at the moment. He was so used to crushing from afar that he never let those feelings out to anyone he liked. Most of those crushes faded with time and he got over them especially when seeing that there was someone better for them than him. He didn’t think most of his crushes would have been able to keep up with his busy schedule. That’s when dating within the group crossed his mind, it would be easier and honestly most seemed to expect it anyway. He hid his feelings well though, not even confining in one of the other members about it. He gave Jeongin a smile. “I’m glad you had fun. Oh, I’ll make sure to get you some water and a few things later to help once your sober.” he mused, knowing that alcohol in particular always made the younger male really drunk. He couldn’t help but chuckle, shaking his head at the younger male’s reaction. “No, we’re just gonna be here for when you do get sleepy. You can stay up, You know I’ll stay up with you Innie.”

Chan knew that Jeongin had gone out and a part of him always worried when one of the members did that but especially when it came to their maknae. Maybe it was due to his bond with the other male or the fact that he had practically watched him grow as they worked together with the other members, he was always looking after Jeongin. As the eldest, he always found himself messing with the others and joining in with their chaos which meant he ended up hanging off of the younger male as often as possible. He waited nearby, listening for whenever the door opened as he scrolled through his phone to see what was going on with friends and the fans. It always made him smile especially after a long day of working. Just as he was in the middle of a text reply, he heard the door open and looked up to see Jeongin stepping in, he could already tell he was drunk. Chan walked over to make sure the other male didn’t fall over, not wanting him to get hurt. “Good your back, did you have fun?” he spoke softly as he guided them both to the younger male’s bedroom, knowing he’d want to be there if he got sleepy. @xjxonginx

Hyunjin nodded, knowing that Chan would do anything for him if needed. He just didn’t realize that it was different from the other members. He thought that Chan would do the same for any of the others, therefore unsure about his true feelings. “I’m sleepy.” he murmured softly, soon opening his eyes to look up at Chan. “Could we- would it be okay to go lay down? I spent a lot of today dancing since I finally was allowed back out of quarantine. I missed being here, It feels like home.”  

Chan let one of his arms wrap around Hyunjin, keeping him close to him. This felt nice and he could feel his heart pounding in his chest and his cheeks burning a bit. He could tell that Hyunjin didn’t know he had feelings for him, he didn’t wanna beat around the bush too long though. He felt he’d miss his chance and never get to tell the younger male how he felt or someone else would steal him away, he didn’t want to deal with that especially since he didn’t know if he’d ever get over the feelings. A fond smile spread across Chan’s lips, the word cute running through his mind. “Of course we can, I won’t mind. We can just lay here together though if you don’t mind talking later...there’s something that has been on my mind lately.” his nerves felt like they were getting the better of him and he already wanted to take back saying that.

Hyunjin was someone that thrived on it, as it made him feel like he was doing good. Maybe it was in the eyes of others, even so it made him happy. The walls were merely a protective barrier to keep himself from further pain or disappointment. If only he wasn’t so oblivious to things around him, he’d realize that what he is doing right now is wrong. Especially if he knew the others true feelings, he wouldn’t want to do this to him. Letting out a sigh of contentment, a soft giggle left his lips once more. “Thank you Channie, for taking care of me like this.”

Chan knew that he told Hyunjin countless times that he was there for him, he didn’t like seeing him hurt and even though he knew about what the younger did with others, that didn’t deter his feelings. He hadn’t told any of the other members his feelings but he was sure all of them could figure it out except for Hyunjin. He didn’t hide the way he stared at the younger male or how he would come to him especially to compliment him on how he did. He always went out of his way to do so. Chan knew he was being obvious and if the other members knew, they hadn’t approached him about it yet. He could feel the words of his confess on the tip of his tongue, his brain screaming at him to confess. He wanted to but he wanted Hyunjin to be ready for that conversation as well, he couldn’t just blurt them out. He didn’t know how the other would react to it. The leader felt his heart flutter in his chest at hearing the giggle. “You’re welcome Jinnie. I always will no matter what, I care a lot about you and getting to give you attention is something I love doing whenever you need it.”

He enjoyed praise, something that he often longed for with others. It made him feel reassured and special, something that he never felt with his hookups. Humming softly, Hyunjin allowed himself to lean closer to Chan. The boy tilted his head to allow the other to play with his hair, as he wanted to be pampered. “I’m not always good though, but- but I do like hearing that.”

A huge part of him couldn’t help but indulge Hyunjin, he loved seeing his face light up whenever he got praised or complimented. It was one thing Chan was always doing for him no matter what. He liked having some sort of effect on the other male. He hoped that he’d be able to push down the walls Hyunjin built up so he could talk to him more about those feelings he kept to himself. He didn’t want to scare him off or have anything brushed aside. Chan gently brought a hand to the younger male’s hair, playing with it. “I’ll tell you it constantly Jinnie. You know I’d do a lot for you.” His voice came out softly, not able to hide the fond gaze he was giving the him.
