in the other post i was like "what if minori is the super healer byakuran learned healing from?" because that'd be interesting imo. the worlds where nori didn't "break" didn't lead to him using sun flames so those wouldn't be interesting/worth focusing on, right?

but it's post-canon. five years later. byakuran is legitimately a different person in a different world now. he could save minori from "breaking" late enough for the lesson to be learned, but early enough to avoid the massive trauma.

there we are with a beautiful obnoxious grateful friendship (?) (which could go many ways but i digress.)

not gonna lie, Nori-chan flows incredibly well.

i wonder if i should headcanon minori as somehow relevant to byakuran's takeover plans from future arc. i do know he died in most of the parallel worlds after he "broke" for one reason or another so having him survive might be interesting?

or maybe byakuran/minori instead because i think saving the classmate who died instead of watching him suffer would be interesting... wait yes i like that

like i can understand why ppl wouldn't/don't like him but i kinda got attached, sorry

#i can't exactly say 'khr is not dark' either #the tone and characters seem lighthearted #but future arc was very much not. #shimon arc was dark too. #byakuran was responsible for so much suffering #and look at daemon spade's mindset and goals #honestly i'm not vibing too much with khr these days #but i do like to think about it here and there #and i keep thinking about byakuran being lowkey in minori's backstory #sorry lol i'm not sure i will let this go

i really hope i can finish this Uni/OC fic for the khr rarepair mini-event by tomorrow because

A) older uni going to college with shoichi and byakuran!!!!

B) she deserves more opportunities to save people from dying

C) i honestly think she'd be a little lonely. byakuran and shoichi are best friends, gamma is busy handling giglio-nero, so she's just... there.

D) she also deserves her own cute boy with glasses!!!!

anyway i should get back to writing

update: they actually might be really cool as friends (not just university classmates.)

so we know byakuran is not a big fan of humanity, especially not future arc. minori's "everything has beauty!" attitude would have driven him nuts.

and now, after canon / after byakuran's change-of-heart, i genuinely think he'd be way more receptive to it.

what if i used this concept as something that happened hundreds of times in different worlds. every byakuran didn't save him and only watched him suffer or walked away or wasn't even there.

but this time, post-canon byakuran saves him instead...

a college student byakuran and shoichi knew who suffered horribly (for unrelated reasons) right after cervello brought the sky mare ring.

he has thick rimmed glasses that probably do the white shiny thing when he sees something he's interested in. really obnoxious until he's not. an acquired taste type of character so i won't blame anyone for not liking him lmao.

obsessive about complimenting pretty ladies and beautiful things. comes off creepy a lot because of it, but thankfully the unwarranted compliments are as far as it goes. something something wouldn't hurt a fly, people should be happy! etc etc.

another sun flame civilian also like shoichi. but i think if he ever gets involved in anything enough to use flames, he's much better at healing and way too willing to sacrifice his own health for someone else's.

i go into a little of it the hanami rarepair week fic (i'm going to have to post it tomorrow) but you're going to have to be in a good mindset to read it because he REALLY SUFFERED. (it doesn't reference his flame stuff though it's just heavy.)

... he's supposed to be cute, i just haven't done a lot of art yet lmao

wish me luck in actually writing him and uni in like 8YL or something for hanami event. uni needs to make a difference in someone's life i must try to give her the opportunity

edit: like. uni made tons of differences but... what i mean is: as a normal person now, is there really much she can do to help sometimes? :')
