Dagger thinks it's a criminal offense to not be fed every time someone walks past his tank

He's a nerite snail I got from petsmart. They had a big variety of shell patterns there.

Dagger's first full day in his new home! He seems to like exploring. He's hanging around snailbert but also flaring at him so I'm not sure if he loves or hates the snail. I've tried feeding him a pellet (which he spit out) and a flake (which he ignored). He did eat some bloodworms, but that obviously can't be an every meal thing. Hopefully he starts liking the pellets soon!

Today is Wednesday, which means Dagger gets to flare at the snail. It's his favorite activity.

So Milo's heater went haywire and tried to cook him. I took it out, poured in cold water, and floated a bag of ice cubes until and came back down to a good temp. Poor guy. The tank was fine this morning too. I'm going to add in a different heater tomorrow morning (the house is currently at 79 degrees Fahrenheit anyways so he should be fine without it)

Long time, no post so here's an update.
I have literally no idea where Ceres the snail went. I have yet to find her shell in the 10 gallon or anywhere on the floor and it's been months. I've literally searched everywhere so I'm pretty sure one of my pets ate her when she escaped. Rip
I'm back to only having two tanks since Quentin and Echo passed away (months apart, so that just shows how long this blog has been inactive). Swim in peace my babies.
Milo and Maya are doing great. I don't think Milo's fins will ever fully heal (which is why I only get shirt finned bettas, but he was a rescue, not a purchase). Of course I have no idea how old they are and that kinda scares me.
I'm not planning on filling my third tank, but I am considering getting another snail for the ten gallon since I have lost all hope that Ceres is alive.
I can't keep plants alive apparently so I've transitioned to silk plants for my own sanity and wallet.
I don't really plan on being super active again (mostly since it takes like 50 photos to get one good one of the bettas and I refuse to buy more storage on Google).

Currently dealing with the ramshorn snail problem by putting them in a heated jar outside with used almond leaves to munch on. They seem to be doing pretty well.
