Poem.
could I love a sink full of dirty dishes?
or the mold on the underbelly of a sponge?
could I love a cat that never had time for training
could I love a favor
asked of me
time and time again
or
does my love have limits?
could I love the audio cord in my car that stopped working?
could I love the fact that it may be a long time
before I buy a new one?
could I love the silence
that comes from the brokenness
of the audio cord
in my car?
or have I declared so deep down
that when I can't listen to what I want
when I want
a small piece of me falls apart?
eh.
could I love floor dust?
could I love unprepared,
unaware,
un-woke,
incomplete,
unresolved,
not finished,
not helpful,
not present?
could I specifically love not-helpful?
or can I only love comfort,
things-in-place,
according-to-plan,
yes-me
peace?
I shall work to fall in love
with dirty dishes
mystery
unusual habits
incompletion
untidiness
low bank accounts
missed appointments
lost keys
the absence of beer in the refrigerator
the lack of two clean matching socks
and a dead cell phone.
for if I fall in love with such things,
more moments
will become
lovely.

Project for Edney Building in Chattanooga in collaboration with Genesis The Greykid. We took poetry from residents in the housing projects next to the Edney Building answering the question “what is innovation” to start a dialogue about the new “Innovation District” downtown.

This two song afternoon project was my gut reaction to the first time I ever heard the concept of “google glasses”.

fantasmagoric.tumblr.com is an blog I started while working in a windowless corporate office. I was going to do a photo a day but... didn’t get around to it. It represents my feelings for corporate life.

Performance Participation.
An old photo of me carrying flowers during a performance piece in my early years. This was not my piece. Tragic I don’t know the name of the artist group. (This photo comes up when you google my name.)
