I finished making this gif set yesterday, but then I got too tired writing something decent, and I just didn't want to leave them here without a comment. It's too important a scene for me and in general. The way Stolas genuinely just wants to spend time with Blitzo and how desperately lonely and also a little bit shy and awkward he appears. The way Blitzo just can't fathom this and believes Stolas just wants to use him for sex again. Blitzo's little "I'm sorry" after he yelled at Stolas and Stolas's tiny "Okay". The way Stolas is inhaling before ceremoniously wishing Blitzo good night, only for Blitzo to storm off, probably afraid to start crying in front of Stolas. The way Stolas ends up sad and alone sitting on the stairs

I'm sorry I'm not very coherent here, but this scene got me feeling so many things. One of the best moments (if not the best moment) of the whole show. But hey, contrary to my expectations, I didn't even cry at all making this gif set. Go me!

As someone who grew up with "I'm not going to praise you for doing what's expected of you; that's not being good, that's doing the bare minimum" I want to encourage you to celebrate every little thing you can. Everything that takes energy and effort should be appreciated and you're allowed to be happy about trying.

I hate how acknowledging unfairness in the world is seen as "childish". Maybe children are right. I don't think you should be proud of the fact that you've become complacent with the state of your miserable existence and took on this loser "it is what it is" mentality. Things can be better.
