And now we have armholes. Just the neck shaping to go on the body of this sweater. About 20 hours into this project at this point, at least 10 more to go. How many projects do you typically keep going at once? Today I am actively working on 4, and it is modification central over here. Project no. 1 is my Tern Tunic Dress from @madebyhaileybaileybackup which I am modifying to be seamless, both because I hate sewing seams if I can find a way around it, and because on my last frogging I realized it would be both easier to test the fit and make more sense since I am going to be color blocking to use what I have of this yarn, which is in three different colors. Project no. 2 is a second Lachlann Baby Set, so far the bottom of the jacket which I have modified to also be seamless, by @jen_hagan_design in pink and the 12 month size on commission (meaning it gets extra attention during the day). Project no. 3 is a C2C blanket I started yesterday on a whim when I went to @michaelsstores to use a rewards voucher. Loving the colors, already regretting all the ends I’ve given myself to weave. And project no. 4 is some small drawstring bags that are going much faster than all the other projects. That video is the first step in making the drawstring portion. This hat is supposed to have a crocheted ribbing, but crocheted ribbing has to be worked sideways and it created a weird patch of green. So I had the idea to modify it to have a knit ribbing and now I’m really liking the way the colors are striping (with this jog being in the back so it will be less noticeable). Here it is, the one gift I made in December. It’s a birthday gift, not a holiday gift, so I technically did not make any holiday gifts in December. I gave a couple handmade gifts, but they were made in the fall. Full details are in my blog post linked in my stories/Finished Objects highlight, but basic info: Pattern: Lined Up Vest by @ilaquinndesigns Yarn: Capri Eco Cotton by Loops and Threads from @michaelsstores (Purple is Eggplant and Gray is Pewter) I held the yarn doubled and used the 9mm(M/N) hook called for in the pattern. I also combined two sizes, XL on the top and M on the bottom by using short rows and the stitch count from the XL size. I also left off the buttons and tacked the corners of the pockets down so they don’t hang out the bottom.
