STN DAY 1
What’s up blog! Today was the longest day. We got to the air port super early in the morning and our flight got delayed for 45 mins. The flight overall was too bad just very long. Devin A and I watched the Truman Show together and Tangled. I got to sit with Kiki and Devin and thank goodness bc i sprawled out over both of them. I’m so thankful I got to on this trip with my best friends and that I have the opportunity to get closer to everyone. We had In N Out when we arrived to LA it was pretty good, it was my 1st time. We also got to go to the Motion Picture Academy Museum. It was pretty cool and Devin A, Carleigh, and I got pins from the gift shop. When we got to the hotel it was a relief I was so tired. It’s pretty late now so i’m gonna go to bed and get ready for Disney tomorrow!!! 3/14/

STN DAY 5
What’s up blog! Today was our individuals and Devin and Julian did great. We made an amazing story at the park. Julian wasn’t aloud back into the editing room but he did great. Me and Devin had to scrap our original idea and think fast. We decided to make our story a feature story and finished with 20 mins left. I’m so proud of all of us. We ate dinner and left to get ready for the student social. It was super fun we all danced then went back to the hotel because we were so tired. Tomorrow is closing ceremony i’m so nervous but excited. I’m happy competing is over but i’m also sad bc i’m going to miss it. Good night blog. 3/18/23

closing ceremony. watching everyone’s hard work and dedication come together and seeing them achieve their goals is so unforgettable. Everyone is so supportive of each other no matter who it was or what they won, everyone stood up and cheered there truly is no other family like ctv family. As for me. They called the honorable mentions and my heart sank I thought we got nothing, I didn’t think it was good enough to win. But jane and I got first for our individual and it was just the absolute best way to close out my senior year STN. As for crazy 8. It was heartbreaking we thought we had a really solid show and to be told after that we were one away from being recognized was soul crushing. However, after seeing all the growth and passion that had come from this group I know they are motivated and after this loss they are hungry for it and I can say with total confidence that they’re going to come back better than ever and take it home next year. After closing ceremony we went to Warner bros which is another one of my favorite parts of the trip it’s really cool to see the other side of it and what it looks like in the real world of tv. Then we went and did a lot of touring, our guide was really cool and we met LEXI HIDALGO in the airport and gave her a ctv and she sat right behind me on the flight ultimate fan girl moment 🤗

Off Day
Hey guys, the time is come it’s finally my off day and I could not be happier we slept in and it was amazing then the boys and ours went to one of the workshops but then someone had some issues so I had to go help him and then I went to Starbucks but that was kind of stupid because we literally went to outback right after and then we went to the Aquarium The Cream turned us down so Devon Kiki and I went to the lighthouse to ride the scooter. It was so fun and then I went to the room and I fell asleep, so I missed our time at the aquarium but it’s OK and then we went to dinner and then oh my God we got ready for the party no way and it was so cute. What’s up blog! Todays a disney day. Disney was so much fun Guardians of the Galaxy was amazing, I ate the best tacos too. I bonded with everyone so much with everyone tdy too. We saw the convention center for tomorrow and it was huge. When I got back to the hotel room I did some last minute research. Tomorrow is Crazy 8’s!!! Individuals
Hey y’all today was individuals day and Kiki and I were super excited our time was from 10 to 4 but we have to be in the edit room by one so that was a little scary. We got her prompt at 11:30. No no we got a prompt at 10 but we didn’t get our story till 1130, which was terrifying. We ended up going to a homeless shelter to talk about how the rain affect the homeless population in Long Beach and then we’re going to edit room on time and I honestly think we made a great video so now we can only see what the judges think of it. Heyyy blogg today we got went to the closing ceremony many of our groups place, so it was exciting. We headed back to the hotel to get on the bus to leave and we got drive around Hollywood and got to see the Hollywood sign. We got to see a bunch of rich houses. Then we stopped by the Beverly Hills sign, and then we headed to the airport to go home Once we got home it was time to say goodbye and it was such an amazing trip and I’m so so glad I went and got to experience everything. I will truly cherish this trip.

Crazy 8 Day!!
Today was amazing! I woke up super ready and everyone had a great attitude. We started today from 9 to 5 which is a lot different than when we practice because we did 8 to 4 but luckily everyone had stories by like 940 which was like the best thing ever so great friend and I just continue to write toss it was kind of hard but we worked it out and then we went to go from anger shots. We found a really perfect location right outside. Anchor shot went great and once we got back I started editing the show and everyone had their segments in on time and we finished on deadline but it’s a forever to upload and that was scary and Ben had to help me but then Ben and I became friends and then we submitted and I cried. What’s up blog! WE MADE DEADLINE AHHHHHHHH!!!! Crazy 8’s went pretty well Hard News found a great story and editing went very well. I am very proud of Jaden and Javier we did great. Submitting took a while but we did it. Today was also Javier’s b day HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! We watched the show later in Jim’s room and got some good remarks from him. I am confident in us as a team. STN DAY 4
What’s up blog! Today I didn’t have individuals and I went to a workshop on Vertical Tutorial to prepare for tomorrows individuals. Once we were done Carly, Grace, Devin A and I all went to get food and went to the Aquarium. It was super cool, the aquarium was massive and there was so much to see. We also went shopping it was so fun bonding. We went to the opening ceremony today too. WE WON EXCELLENCEEEEEE!!! IT WAS THE BEST FEELING IM SO PROUD OF EVERYONE!! CRAZY 8 DAY!!! Crazy 8 day is always a whirlwind of emotions excitement, nervousness, anxiety and it’s the culmination of months of work. We all patiently waited in the editing room for the prompt to drop and by some miracle EVERY GROUP was gone by 9:30!!! It was the first dub of the day. We filmed anchor shots and it was VERY SUNNY my eyes were so squinty 😔😔. Then we got back and I had a little bit of an issue with the opening but I resolved it and nobody had to know 😊👍. Then gina edited the show and we had some issues with uploading which was actually some of the worst moments of my life. Then we got Ben over and plugged into the internet and uploaded 40 MINUTES EARLY WHOOP WHOOP!! Then I got some of my first trades and some schools had really Bobo shrinky dink pins but pin trading was rlly fun 🙌. Then we got to watch people who didn’t make deadline and we ate dinner and went to opening ceremony. And that was the end of day 3 - Grace

Free day!! My day started early because Gina and Kiki were competing so we got ready and then the rest of the girls went to the vertical story telling workshop so we could be prepared for our individual the next day. I met some cool people in the work shop and made friends with the lady from Ithaca. Then we walked around the convention and got all the free stuff from the booths. After we went back to the room and got ready to explore Long Beach a little bit. We got outback for lunch then went to the aquarium and did some shopping. Then we went back to the room room to debrief with Gina and Kiki. We had an early dinner because we had the EXCELLENCE CEREMONY 🙌🙌🙌. And guess what WE FREAKING WON BROADCAST EXCELLENCE!!!!!! WHAT!!!!!!!!! The feeling of hearing them call out Cooper City will NEVER GET OLD. So beyond proud of this group and how far we’ve come in such a short amount of time 🥹 - Grace

I don’t think I blogged about Disney 🤔. So annnyyyywwaayyyyyytyy. Disney was fun!!! We made friends with small children in line and we rode pretty much all the cool rides 😎. We spent the day riding rides and I lost my minnie ears on a ride but they shipped them back to me 😆! We ordered outback and just hung out before the crazy day the next day - Grace

Final Day
Hey guys, today was the longest day of my life so we woke up and it was closing ceremonies and we were really hoping for back to back wins but unfortunately we came in six that was awful but on the bright side Kiki and I got second place in the largest category at STN like I’m better than everyone except for CCNN which I’m OK with for right now for next year, I’m totally getting them so it doesn’t really matter. then we went to the Beverly Hills sign. It was super cool Out tour guide only talked about like Britney Spears and where she like the different things and I just really didn’t care and then we got on the plane and then it was Monday and I don’t know how that happened but it was long and I’m tired so I’m going to sleep now. INDIVIDUALS DAY 😬😬!! Definitely most nervous for this day, and the prompt drops. UPCYCLING. it wasn’t really like the prompts we practiced but Hailey came running in with an AMAZING IDEA!! We made dog toys out of old t shirts and we even got A DOG TO BE IN OUT STANDUP 🙌🙌. We finished about half an hour early and it all went well 👍. Another early dinner, Greek it was good. Then we got ready for the DANCE we had really cute outfits and the dance was really fun, we got to meet a lot of new people. Then we hung out in the lobby after and I met EVEN MORE NEW FRIENDS 😊😊😆😆. We went to bed and we were super nervous but excited to see how we placed 🤭
