I feel like some fathers lose the ability to communicate effectively with their children once they reach 12 years old. It's almost like a curse, especially when dealing with children, particularly daughters, in their teenage phase. Like just a 15-sec convo with them can cause irreversible damage

Why do parents always make everything about themselves? IT'S SO DRAINING. I went to the doc for my physical health check-up because it's deteriorating, and the doc linked it to stress. But when I got home, my mother brushed it off (she was there when the doc said that), saying, 'What could you possibly be stressed about? We provide for you. Back in my day, things were much tougher. You're lucky' blah blah and then she wonders why im stressed. I can't wait to move out of this house. It's been days, and she's still dismissing it as just an excuse. 'One slap and the stress will disappear' ?????? like pls I'd do worse to myself, and it would still be less horrifying than living here.
