like this is a 40+ yr old man and a 16 yr old arguing, the art never disappoints in scenes like this, i love how she drew their expressions

I feel like this is a, lesson that more people could take to heart.

If there’s one trope that really annoys and frustrates me to no end it’s when a character (usually the main one) has some kind of big secret that they can’t or don’t want to tell anyone else (they have magic/a secret identity/are a not human(or human in Iruma’s case)/something other than cis or straight) and then when their secret gets revealed to their friends/the rest of the cast, the cast gets mad at the MC b/c ‘but we’re your friends’ and ‘why did you lie to us’ as if you apparently HAVE to tell your friends every little thing about yourself.

And it just, it bugs me so damn much like, just because you’re friends with someone doesn’t make you entitled to know everything about them??? But I see this all the damn time in media and it’s treated like the worst sort of thing you could do to your friends apparently.

And then you have Iruma-kun, coming out with this. For context for the scene, Iruma was debating about telling Azz and Clara that he’s human and is concerned about how they’ll react to that news. Will they reject him? Or worse, will their demonic instincts make them want to eat him? He doesn’t know but he wants to tell them b/c he hates the idea of keeping a secret to them, of lying to them in a way.

Enter Amuryillis who straight up says ‘but having secrets is fine, you don’t need to tell them everything, especially if it would hurt you’. And she’s right. And I’m glad it brought this up.

Iruma-kun out here subverting tropes and expectations once again and I love it for it.

kirio confonting the misfit class and revealing iruma's human status could have one of two options

option 1: they don't believe him and even if he has audio proof, they can just say he altered it to make it sound like a confession (iruma might get put on the spot and either confirm or deny the claim)

option 2: "okay. and?" cue kirio's confusion bc the misfit class had suspicions but didn't acknowledge it. but now they're confronted about it, they accept it and beat the shit out of kirio bc no one hurts their bundle of sunshine

I just got this feeling that Delkira got same power as Iruma and in this panel he's actually healing Sullivan's wound with his own blood. We didn't know that 'healing blood' is exclusively Iruma's ability or every human blood can do the same thing.

(Low key waiting for someone precious to Iruma getting hurt real bad that Iruma just slice his hand right there and healing them)
