Aloros steps around to lean and get a better look at Jester’s face, his hand reaching to brush a piece of Jester’s long mane out of his face. There’s something about Aloros today that is so like himself, and yet so different... that look, that few may recall even seeing for a long time... was not merely a caring king, but Aloros, as a doting father, proudly smiling at his son, with a twinkle of wonder as his gaze lingers.  

“I am. So hold your head tall and have the fullest confidence in yourself. And if it makes you feel better, bring the mask with you.”  There was plenty to worry about, but that defeats the purpose. “ And...”  

 He gives a majestic sweep of his arm to try and drape his long royal cloak around Jester like protective wing. “I will be right here at your side to protect you. You can even hide in my cloak. ... Better?“

Rare to see the Entertainer nervous about anything, but, when it comes to his Mask and being without it? Then comes the shakey nerves. Jester takes a fast glance back towards his mask. Claws tapping against the smooth surface as his tail twitches nervously behind him. Since his mask is right in front of him, held right in his hands, he could just place it back on. 

Except, the test to see if the Earrings work would be a waste. Their supposed to be a back up messaure in case something like this hapepned, where Jester is without his Mask or it ended up being broken.

“I know what it says...” she admits, nodding, “But! You’re not merely part of this family as the court jester.... anymore. You are family!” 

“If--If you don’t believe me... can’t you see it the way Papa looks at you?” she restlessly fidgets, recalling forgone memories of when she was alive and used to see the old King around her older brothers, “He’s not like that to just anyone, you know.”

By the look on his mask it looks like he’s either processing what she just said or making sure that he heard right.

Unfortunately, being locked in a tower - like Princess Rapunzel - for her entire human life, Princess Naelle did not have many friends, save for two, who she could say were closest to her as well.

"Perroquet was my eyes and ears to the outside world, he brought me books, or whatever I'd ask, was a kind advisor, and could talk my ear off when particularly passionate on a particular subject of his knowledgeability."

"Toutou, on the other hand, was the one I could confide almost anything and everything to, and she would always eagerly listen. She always had a witty remark, and daresay enabled me every time I spoke of wanting to run away on an adventure."
