Crosshair definitely is STILL hiding something. The operatives make him MADLY uncomfortable- the sense of strange brotherhood between them scares him more than anything we’ve seen so far, maybe because, well, loyalty is a big deal to him, but also because one of them may actually be his brother.

He did not mention he was being put through operative✨ pre school ✨until Howzer pressed for answers, and he was forced to spill some beans. But I don’t think that’s all he’s keeping secret. Like, he wanted to keep the operative as FAR away from his brothers as possible(ie, drawing fire away, 1v1ing)- why? Could it just be he wants to deal with these clones on his own? Spare his brothers the fight? Protect them?

Or is it because he doesn’t want to traumatize them further with a brainwashed Tech? He doesn’t want their memory of their “dearly departed” brother to be marred by this…hollow, empty assassin before him. He can’t do that to them. But he *knows*, and it’s eating him alive.

There’s still so much he’s keeping from everyone, and not even Omega knows what he witnessed on Tantiss. He knows things, and he’s too afraid to admit them.

I can see it now, Hunter sacrifices himself, but before he does, he tells Crosshair that “I know you’ll protect her. I trust you.” And then he fucking DIES, content with knowing Crosshair can be her newfound dad and protect her when he can no longer do so (I am in pain).

A few thoughts on TBB S3E6&7 spoilers spoilers spoilers

They called the CloneX's "Shadows". I think they broadly illustrate what happens when the clones make the dark and unehtical choices. A shaddow version of the clones. I believe that the last CloneX we saw was not Tech, but a shadow version of Tech. Not his body in that suit, but some other reg. They are just kind of lurking all over the place.

I think we didn't see this CloneX's face because in that instance he represented Tec and Crosshair's dark sides at different times. While fighting in the river CloneX said to Crosshair "You had your chance to be one of us…You chose the wrong side." This feels like what Crosshair said to Hunter at the end of S1 and what he clung to until he chose his brothers over the Empire.

The drowning was very symbollic too - Star Wars Explained likened it to baptism and I can't believe I didn't see it in the moment. His old self died and he was reborn. I felt his old self/shadow self nearly killed him, but Crosshair was saved by his family when Howzer stunned CloneX.

Yes, I saw parallels between Tech's experiences and CloneX - having his leg (and everything else) crushed, going through the water and down a waterfall, being shot at by Crosshair when he is climbing (like while in the ion engine in S1), falling…I saw it, but I felt it was more along the lines of comparing their choices. It illustrated parallels between their experiences and the outcomes.

Tech made sacrifices for his family, and was (except for his last sacrifice) taken care of by his family. Loved and missed. Nobody is missing these CloneX guys. The Batch is all greiving for Tech. This CloneX guy went through all the same things with dark solitary motivations and no one was there for him at the end. No one. His communicator did not even work. Even Wolffe just took off with his squad without a thought about him.

I considered a Winter Tech, and I half like the idea, but there are so many other things happening, so many messages they are trying to impart I feel like a Winter Tech would be one of the less interesting and obvious options. The lighting, the music, the nuanced story telling? They make choices that feel so authentic and genuine to life that I can't see them pulling a Marvel comic book trick like that...unless they have a wild and wonderful twist on it. But I'm not counting on it.

Hunter: And that's why they...?"

Crosshair: No, that was just my first mission. A few days later I killed the rest of the squad.

Hunter: I, remember that one.

Crosshair: And then I killed another imperial officer. My kill rate for imperials is as high as yours, and I was working for them.

I love how throughout the whole episode, Echo is practically rolling his eyes and calling Crosshair and Hunter dramatic. Like apparently, they've had way worse arguments. Omega's over here trying to fix her family and Echo's like "Eh, this doesn't even crack the top ten fights they've had."

So… this was a fucking lie:

So the major reveal of episodes seven and six was that Hemlock almost turned Crosshair into a clone assassin and might’ve almost succeeded because one of those clone assassins recognized Crosshair which would only make sense if Crosshair had to have been in that program for a long period of time.

Yet, Crosshair said it didn’t work because he is defective by nature, but that contradicts our current Clone X’s claim that Crosshair had a chance to be one of them. Then, there’s Crosshair’s entire reaction to the whole thing. He’s acting calm, but it’s like he’s panicking and wanting to run from something.

I’m not yet a psych graduate, but nonverbal communication can indicate a person’s true emotions through the use of body language when words fail.

I have this feeling that Crosshair’s trauma is keeping him from telling the entire story because he feels that he can’t look weak in front of people, especially his brothers and Omega, but that’s only going to cause more damage to him because he’s already not wanting to be checked out by AZ and everyone but Omega and the Batch is on edge with him. I think the later episodes have to try to address his trauma because he does have answers, but he won’t talk about it to anyone because he doesn’t know that no one will think of him as weak from the trauma.

What ever truly happened to Crosshair, he needs someone to talk to and be there for him. Then, maybe we can fully understand the extent of Hemlock’s torture of the clones.
