i appreciate this post but i feel like i need to point out that the road by stonehenge isn't a busy road, it's not even really an accessible road, it's a road where the buses go from the site where you buy tickets to bring tourists up to the stones since there's a pretty big distance. The

MORE surprising thing is that stonehenge is just right up against a bunch of farms and you'll see farmers and farm animals just hanging out right up against the fence. Here some photos i took of sheep while i was there:

I really like how many of the world’s most iconic structures and places are just right next to some of the most mundane stuff imaginable, for example

Stonehenge

Is right next to a busy road

The Pyramids of Giza

Are at the outskirts of Cairo

Niagara Falls

Are part of the town of the same name

And Agrippa’s Pantheon

Is crammed inside downtown Rome

It just so interesting to notice.

they used to make smackable technology. you used to be able to hit your tv when it didn't work good.

#when i was a kid my school had a computer lab #this was around 2004-2005 in a small town so it was still the big clunky 90s/2000s computers #most people in my town didnt have computers and some families only had 1 #my dad worked with computers so i was lucky enough to have my own personal computer #well. i learned pretty early on that if a computer was acting up you could aim a swift kick to the tower and it would unfreeze #so i started doing this to the computer lab computers when my teacher wasnt looking #now my computer teacher was not tech savvy. at all. #frankly idk why she was the computer teacher #but she noticed i could “fix” the computers and would ask me to any time a computer froze #and i would wait for her to walk away and kick the shit out of the tower #and then turn to the kid who was using the computer and be like do not tell her. but if this happens again just kick the computer. #and the teacher would come back and be like wow you fixed it! how did you do that? #and me not wanting her to know i was beating up expensive technology would just go i don't know how to explain it :) #and she never found out. and i kept kicking computers. #nowadays you cant kick them like that. i want to be able to punt my laptop in order to fix it
