I think the most younger-brother thing Xunfeng has ever said to DFQC is, “I didn’t want to witness you becoming such a useless thing!” and the most older-brother thing DFQC has done is sentence XF to death via lightning strikes.

Been a while since I've shared a wipwed here! Have some more of my Firefly Stone @cljprompts fic that I'm chipping away at.
Changheng goes to Xiao Lanhua for help...
“It may take a few days before she has much energy,” Xiao Lanhua says to him in a low voice. “I suspect transforming in Yunmeng Lake took much out of her.”
“Mn.”
Even now, he’s unsure why she picked that moment. From what he understands, the Firefly Spirit Stone had a consciousness for some time, had observed and experienced so much with him. Why did she pick the most difficult place to manifest her physical body?
He thinks he knows the answer, but it doesn’t quite suit him.
“Da-Qiang and I are going back soon,” she adds, “so I’m afraid I can’t provide much except shelter. You’re welcome to my supplies in Siming Hall, though.”
“Going back?” he repeats. “Can’t you wait?”
“Of course not—I have to return for the King of Ninth Youxian County’s birthday.”
“His birthday?” he repeats. Of all things to leave Xishan for! It seems rather trivial. “Do you really need to be there for that?”
“As Moon Queen, naturally I do,” she says airily. “It’s important to build good relations with the two kings. You know how we were once in conflict with them.”
Why does he feel as though she were making excuses?

I'm bringing another Wip Wednesday snippet today. This is for a fill from @cljprompts. No idea when it'll be posted, but I've been enjoying working on it alongside my other wips!
For context: Changheng wakes up to an unfamiliar visitor.
“Firefly Spirit Stone!” the woman explains. “I cultivated my body, aren’t you happy?”
Firefly Spirit Stone?
Reflexively, he reaches for his belt, where the Firefly Spirit Stone always hangs. Sure enough, he feels the familiar tassel, the knotted rope, the stone itself. The stone is still there, smooth to the touch, teardrop-shaped. It feels the way it always does between his fingers, but something is changed. It feels… empty. Hurriedly, he unties the stone.
The stone is still there, but it doesn’t have the same sparkle as before. It’s just a plain blue stone now, pale and patterned and lifeless. The firefly is gone.
His eyes drift up to the woman, still kneeling on the bed, beaming down at him. Her eyes are big, alert. Her mouth is quirked into an eager smile. He has never seen this face before, but something about her does seem familiar. Despite the situation, he feels strangely at ease. He does not feel as he should, having woken with a strange person in bed with him.
He untangles himself from the sheets and stands up to get a better look at her. The spirit takes this as a cue to launch herself into his arms. Changheng catches her easily, though he does take a step backwards in surprise. The woman clings to him, burying her face in his neck with a squeal of excitement. At his belt, he feels the stone reawaken with recognition. Perhaps it really is as she says.
“Firefly Spirit Stone,” he repeats.
“I knew you’d recognize me, zhuren!” she exclaims, snuggling even closer. “Now, you won’t ever be alone again—I’ll accompany you forever!”

Here is a sneak peek of my new fic! It's from the first chapter of the @cljprompts that I claimed. I will hopefully start publishing tomorrow, so be on the lookout!
For now it is strangely quiet. Nearing the end of the business day, his phone is actually silent and his email is organized into what can be done later. So he decides there is no better time and picks up the red envelope that Shangque had prepared for him. After all, from what he understood he would get to set the parameters of their meetings, and if things didn't work out then he could just write a check and forget the entire business.
Her name is Xiao Lanhua. She owns a business called the Arbiter, which is by reference and appointment only. Apparently in Shangque's search for alternative stress management, her name kept coming up in the circles of the elite. A candid picture is included, but the sunglasses and hat she wears obscures most of her features. There is a background check that is clean and a run down of her known addresses, an apartment and her studio, and a few notes on recommendations from other clients.
He turns to a profile on the business, his brows raising slightly. Dongfang is aware of the nature of her work, but this is surprising. First is a list of preparatory items, questions to think about and be ready to answer at their first appointment. He reads through them with a half-smirk on his face.
What is your threshold for pain?
Do you find pleasure in service?
How many sexual partners have you had?
He tosses the folder back on his desk with a huff. Maybe this is a mistake.

Summary
Dongfang Qingcang is a famous pirate, known to be especially cruel. After his ship is attacked/sinks, he washes up ashore and is found by Xiao Lanhua. Xiao Lanhua has no idea he's the famous evil pirate DFQC and thinks he's just an unlucky sailor who got caught in a storm. She nurses him back to health and in the process, they fall in love.
Optional additions:
-Xiao Lanhua is a princess and has to hide DFQC from her guards and servants. Maybe she's currently living in a summer home by the beach and is more or less left alone, but the possibility of someone coming across them is still a thing. It's up to you!
-Xiao Lanhua has some treasure that DFQC has been looking for (instead of the destiny book in canon). He stays with her for longer than he intends waiting for a good opportunity to take the treasure, but XLH is always one step ahead of him (unconsciously, or even consciously)
-Building on that, DFQC kidnaps XLH (and her treasure) and takes her back to his ship after a dramatic confrontation like in EP 9.
-Maybe some supernatural elements? DFQC could still have Hellfire (or something similar). Or maybe his powers are more ocean-based, since this is a pirate AU.

Summary
Dongfang Qingcang reflects upon the body swap days. Sometimes, he finds himself wondering how it would feel to do something like it again, but instead of being in Xiao Lanhua's body, he was in his own female form. (Considering he was able to alter his appearance to look like Changheng, I think he could use similar magic to give himself a more traditionally feminine figure)
Xiao Lanhua is supportive and encourages dfqc to explore this however he wants. What happens next is up to you. Xlh is very supportive of whatever conclusion dfqc reaches by the end.
Any rating is fine. This could be a more introspective piece or just a pwp with xlh helping dfqc explore this altered body. Dfqc could decide it isn't for him or that he does like it (permanently or every now and again). He could reach a conclusion about his gender identity or he could still be figuring it out. Whatever you want!
