to start i'm watching a couple of YT videos trying to access what people suggest on learning code now that I have good fundamentals of it - videos along the lines of "if i could learn to code again , this is how i would do it" sorta thing

the points im getting is

be prepared to search for answers, no one will tell you, you can google ANYTHING

learn a specific language

make projects (with front end and back end)

for coding interviews the concepts like strings, arrays, hashmaps, trees, graphs, queues, stacks, tries, heaps etc

Keep practicing questions especially for coding interviews

Overall all suggestions seem to point to javascript and/or Python but I'm quite set on using C++. Not only will it be beneficial for me to use for my assignments but I know its one of the harder ones to learn but if I learn this well, its only up from there right?

alright let me give you a little background for starters, i'm studying computer science and going thru classes decently, but don't get the full background of what i'm learning. I reckon its cause i'm a visual learner and coding can be so theoretical, i struggle to code without the internet even with easy things like for loops!

Does anyone else feel that kind of struggle? I thought if i documented my learning publicly it would keep me on track and give me some sort of incentive, also we can help each other out!

anyways, i started learning with MATLAB and C, which was all good and well until we got to pointers in C, tbh after that i lost my focus and kinda work enough to pass by without scraping. Now classes mostly focus on C++ so i wanna focus on developing it.

So, here's my journey in learning how to independently code better and build my coding skills a high level!
