I really want to look more into Hoodoo & Conjure but it’s so annoying because every book I find on it is by some white woman or white man trying to profit off of black culture. Why do white people even feel the need to do hoodoo? Who are you even contacting because you aren’t contacting your white ancestors. They weren’t the ones who practice this work. What you’re really doing is trying to use African slaves in your working knowing and unknowing and it’s messed up. Just stop. A lot of white people who claime they do Hoodoo rarely mention that hoodoo was made by African slaves to protect themselves from white slave masters. I hope more black people wake up and stop thinking that hoodoo is evil and actual research this and learn what it is because now the white folks are trying to rewrite the history of it and make a profit off of it. If anybody knows in any good website or books by black men and women who practice hoodoo let me know.

Blackfeet Nation is on a two week lockdown because of spreading covid. Now would be a good time to donate to the tribal food pantry, families are struggling because of covid limiting incomes from tourism and other jobs and will need groceries.

In the bible, tarot is strictly forbidden and im sorta torn as to how u can mix it with religion
I personally don’t use tarot anymore, however, I don’t believe that it is “strictly forbidden”. Look closely and truly read scripture through the eyes of the heart rather than the eyes of indoctrination. Read it as it is, word for word. Drink it in. Divination apart from God is certainly “forbidden” but in Acts, we read of the disciples casting lots and allowing God to speak through the stones. It’s akin to rolling dice, flipping a coin, casting runes, or throwing bones. Casting lots is hardly any different from other forms of divination. Do we still have to be careful with how we use divination? Absolutely. Do I recommend doing divination? Not necessarily. Is divination automatically demonic or harmful? No, not always.  “Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.“ Acts 1:26
“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.“ Proverbs 16:33

I just got my first tarot deck and I’m super excited, I was wondering if you have any tips for a beginner?
getting started with tarot
DIY or find a sachet or box to consistently keep the deck in
adopt the habit of drawing a card-of-the-day
learn intuitive reading: ditch the textbook and see tarot spreads as story lines instead
make two-card draws and combine meanings for your questions
pick a heavier crystal or object to keep the deck in place while you use it/put it on a table
watch pick-a-card readings on youtube for inspo with questions, spreads, and ways of interpreting
learn to shuffle
if you need confirmation for a result, check the card at the bottom of the pile
see what reversals are all about once you know the deck a little better
learn about the celtic cross spread some time later

I want to send some love to Megan Thee Stallion. Over the past couple of weeks, we have seen people laugh at her pain,  misgender her out of spite, and commit various acts of violence towards her, all while going through such a traumatic experience. Megan is our sister, and her pain is our pain. I send lovely and healing thoughts to all of my sisters. The ancestors know we need it.

But imagine if you lived in a country where the color of your skin got you killed for driving, jogging, sleeping, yelling, parking, babysitting, sitting in a van, selling CDs, selling cigarettes, opening the door, walking at night, wearing a hoodie at night, holding a toy gun, lying on the ground, being homeless, being in a dark stairwell, holding a cell phone, having a broken taillight, exercising horses, having a bottle of pills, shopping at Walmart, holding a BB gun at Walmart, holding a phone in your own backyard, eating ice cream in your own house, and shopping, you would say, “That is a lawless country.”
