thinking about eye duo and how they've been interacting through the seasons.

season one where they were antagonistic for most of the season because Icarus was looking for praise from enderian. yet Rae continued to try to help sherb

season two were Rae was so desperately trying to help them remember. Sherb was trying to fill Rae's roles when he left

late season three (I haven't watched early s3) where they're back to being antagonistic, at least ic is to rae to get the approval of a god. and Rae is continuing to try to help them.

Thhey can't decide how they wanna act. Like do they wanna be happy and help each other or are they gonna murder each other? I'm scared to see the finale and what's gonna happen. I'm scared somethings gonna happen to Icarus and the world is gonna fall just like Portal did

I’ve had some BoundSMP non-canon ships running through my head so I will present them and my reasonings. I do not 100% ship any of these, I just think they could be good if they were to occur whether they be platonic on romantic :)

1. Ashril & Marcel

I absolutely love these two. Their dynamic with having a past, being awkward and unsure while also being such goofy guys. Really love these two and wouldn’t be opposed to them being together

2. Pietro & Marcel

I think these two speak for themselves but I also love their dynamic. They’re just two guys chillin and I think they could learn a lot from one another in more ways than one

3. Erin & Virgil

Now, this one I can see being platonic OR romantic. I absolutely love the way that they are able to fall into a motion with one another and that, from their first meeting, they were able to have this thing about them that is chefs kiss

4. Sylph and Ashril

I’m iffy on this one but I also think it could be one of those rivalry relationship type beats? I’m not sold on this tho and quite prefer them being friends but this could change??

5. Sylph and Gaverin

I just think it’s funny. They drive each other insane but still have a huge love for the other. This one I’m more leaning towards platonic over romantic but there’s potential

I don’t see Ava having any interest in anyone & Rune and Vast I don’t think could work with anyone else but one another. Those two are just perfect for one another and Ava seems like the type who doesn’t care for romantic relationships— maybe I headcanon her as aromantic, you don’t know that.

Anyways, this has been my thought process after watching lore today. I know that others may not agree with any of these but please, remember this is me just speaking out my ass and not pushing anything. I just think there’s good romantic OR platonic relationships between some of these birds.

the way Icarus stuters when Rae asks if they want a hug. the way they dont know what to respond, because yes they want a hug. they do, they are touch starved, so so much. but they never got a hug from Fable. he never offered them a hug. not once. the last time they got hugged was in months. and it was from Centross. Fable never offered them a hug because he does not give away free affection. from him, you have to earn it.
