we talk a lot about ohhhh what if my calling is to be the greatest mammoth hunter ever and I'm wasting my talents in the modern era but we never think about what if Thog from 30,000 BCE was the only person ever born who could get a sub-7min Donkey Kong Country any%, and he never got the chance. what about thog
OK i know that we’ve all lost our minds over the animation in this scene, BUT can we also talk about the the sound effects/sound mixing??
I jumped when I heard Vash’s gun go off for the first time in this ep. The deep bass was so jarring, which was heightened by the fact that we’re so not used to hearing Vash SHOOT.
And then the way that the music fades as they focus on Vash reloading makes time feel like it’s slowing down and we’re there in the moment with him.
IMO Orange has done an amazing job with this adaptation. The animation has been the focus and rightfully so, but everything else has been incredible as well.
He's a space cowboy. He's a classified typhoon. He's an eldritch horror. He's angel-coded. He's a pacifist. He's a killer. He carries love for everyone. He hates himself. He's self-sacrificing. He's immature. He's over a century old. He's a womanizer. He's gay. He's in a relationship that's not-quite-platonic-not-quite-romantic-but-something-else-much-deeper-and-entirely-incomprehensible with a priest riddled with Catholic guilt. He's a plant. He's an alien. He's painfully human.
FINALLY done this one. The amount of times I painted over something only to rub it away, and then repaint it, over and over and over again, was insane. But it was worth it because this looks sick af now
