Oh the joys of a Tory government.
Labour is going to win the general election and then say this doesn’t go far enough.

Today's Public Domain Character
The Unknown from the Glasgow Willy Wonka Experience
The Unknown is like an evil chocolatier who lives in the walls. While the story of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory are copyrighted still (i believe owned by Netflix currently as they bought the rights to all of Roald Dahl's works a few years back)
The Unknown is an original character that was created using AI to write the script for this event. AI creations are not able to be copyrighted. Therefore, its public domain

Expatriates live abroad temporarily for work or study. Immigrants live abroad permanently for any reason. Expatriates can become immigrants if they decide to stay permanently for work. But immigrants cannot be expatriates because of their intent to move permanently, for whatever reason.
In the following examples, consider these people British:
Tim has expatriated to France to play Peter Pan in Disneyland Paris.
Brian has immigrated to Australia because they offered him a better job as a welder in Perth.
(Tim and Brian and their circumstances are real. Names and nationalities have not been changed)
the dichotomy between the "immigrant" (someone from the global south who moves to the north) and the "expat" (someone from the global north who moves to the south) makes me feel fucking crazy. a white person who moves to asia is an expat but an asian who moves to the west is an immigrant. & how those terms are politicized and assigned class statuses, like the word "immigrant" tends to imply a blue collar worker (even if that isn't the case) while "expat" implies a white collar worker. the associations with "expat neighbourhoods" in asian countries is very very different from those of "immigrant neighbourhoods" in western nations. also how "immigrants" who dont assimilate are seen as "failing" and bad, lower class, a burden on society, etc. whereas "expats" not assimilating into local culture is expected and viewed as a sign of their higher status. the double standards are so insane

I got pickpocketed last week. They stole £25. I was on my way to the bank to deposit it as I was already £300 ish overdrawn because my cat needed an operation.
wow millennials are glued to their i-phones and laptops so much they cant even be bothered robbing in person anymore!!! maybe these trust fund babies should stop phishing credit cards while sitting on their butts and go out there and put some elbow grease into their thievery!

It’s because of the Sadiq Khan thing. He just wants to be openly racist. What a scumbag.
Lee Anderson had defected to Reform from the Tories…for some reason lmao.

The thing is... Israel admitted to this from the very beginning.
They said the confessions were obtained through 'interrogation' in the Shin Bet aka torture (Shin Bet is where they like to torture Palestinian prisoners for intel) so every country that cut funding to the UNRWA knew from the beginning that Israel was using false forced statements.
The famine in Gaza is partly due to this. Never forget that.

A Willy Wonka pop-up event in Glasgow had attendees calling the police after they paid £35 and the event didn’t deliver what was promised.
Event goers were promised a whimsical adventure all themed around something Willy Wonka might create in his factory.

The keen-eyed amongst you might have noticed something a little bit…wrong.
Imagnation Lab. Encherining Entertainment. Catgacating. Live perforrmances. Cartchy tunes. Exarserdray lollipops. And my favourite “A pasadise of sweets teats”
But what did the event actually look like? WELL.
Feel like the marketing team got a bit carried away.
