Akane didn’t move as he walked towards her - his stance and movements were casual, so she didn’t bother showing any type of alarm towards it. Notepad still within her hand, she tilted her head slightly to the side, considering her options for a few seconds.

“Your fiance…” She repeated quietly, continuing to keep eye contact with him for the time being. There was a pause from her, and then, “…Alright.”

“she was kind,” he began, gesturing a hand vaguely in the brunette’s direction, “gracious, beautiful,” his tone was laced with indifference, though his eyes would remain trained on her, “just as you.”

slowly, though, his expression became solemn, voice lowering a pitch, “and she had the tendency to stick her nose where it didn’t belong.”

“if I remember correctly, I was already questioned of my whereabouts that night. I don’t think you would have a very good reason for coming to my class and questioning me again about my fiance’s death. that seems awfully inconsiderate of you, inspector.” with every pause in his sentence, he ended up right in front of her, noting their differences in size. “wouldn’t you agree?”

Akane was quiet, allowing her gaze to flicker across his face for any sign of unease. Of course, there wasn’t any. Something she noticed within his file. “…Yes.” A nod was given, lips tense and pressed together, “It’s about your second wife, Koemi Suzumoto - I was going through her case once again, and I thought I would take some notes down of your whereabouts the night of her murder.”

for now, he gave no negative reaction to the name of his fiance. in fact, he’d always refused to give one after he was informed of her death. his expression slowly went neutral, tiers falling from the smile and lashes low.

“koemi? i haven’t heard that name in awhile,” he rounded his desk slowly, stopping in front of the female, eyes focusing on her face, “you know,” he said, studying her, “you reminded me of her--my fiance, that is.” at that, his smile was back once again, “do you want to know why, inspector tsunemori?”

“Good afternoon. I am an Inspector apart of the MWPSB, Division 1.” As she rose from her bow, Akane was sure to take out her identification as well, “I wanted to ask you a few questions, Tomoto-san.”

“a few questions?” his expression didn’t change much, besides the small shift in his seat. tiers widened, giving off a small smile towards the inspector. “can i at least know for what reason - what was it? tsunemori-san, right?”
