Daily Dolphin Seven

Amazon River Dolphin (Inia geoffrensis)

(May also be known as the boto, beufo, or pink river dolphin)

It is in family Iniidae :3

The amazon river dolphin is a species of freshwater dolphin that lives in South America in the Amazon River, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela, and Orinoco Basin.

It is the largest species of river dolphin, being up to 300-400 lbs and 8-9 feet long.

These animals are threatened and depleting. They are considered endangered.

Only males are pink, and attractiveness is determined on this factor, and is POSSIBLY caused by scar tissue of fighting, maybe it’s their diet, or genetics.

They are born gray.

These dolphins prefer to be alone, in groups of three or four occasionally.

They eat a variety of fish, shrimps, crabs and turtles.

And I love them shut up

The spinner dolphin is a species of dolphin that lives in tropical and subtropical parts of the ocean in the world.

This species of dolphin is named after its ability to perform spinning leaps out of the water, going up to about seven rotations. Impressive!

They weight about 130-170 pounds and can be 4-7 feet long.

They eat shrimp, squid, and small fish.

They can be pregnant for 11 months, live for 20-25 years, reach maturity at 7 years, and have calves every three years.

They are night hunters.

They can get into groups of fewer than fifty or to thousands…. That’s HUGE!
