This has to be one of the funniest callouts I've had on this site. What is this post supposed to mean? How would sitting next to you make me believe in heaven? 🤣
@db-1986 -if you were here sitting next to me, you would believe that #Heaven was real.

Religion is one of the worst things to be afflicted upon humanity. A person can say that good has come from religion but that's a lie. Any good that has come from religion could have been done just as easily without it. Religion has caused Humanity to be held back from knowledge, it has been the cause of wars and discrimination, and it destroys people's ability to think rationally. All this in the name of belief in ancient fictional fairytales.

scientists, a theory has nearly the opposite meaning. A theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses and facts.
May I suggest you actually find the definitions of terms. If you were a scientific engineer, you would know this.
As for religion, it's a blight on humanity. And no, belief in fairytales to make yourself feel better is not healthy. Especially when there are aids for people that don't impact their understanding of the real world. The problem with religion is that its not real. They are stories invented with the purpose of controlling people.
As for your unexplainable events, as someone who claims to be a scientist, I would expect you to not jump straight to religion. The God of the gaps explanation is just lazy. Just because you don't understand something, doesn't mean it doesn't have an explanation.
For myself, I come across things I can't explain. Do you know what goes through my mind? "Oh shit! I don't understand this. Maybe I should try to figure it out or find someone who might know." Not, "God did it, so I don't have to put any thought into it. Because that right there is why humans are a thousand years behind. Because religion hates knowledge, because the more you know, the more the curtain is drawn back on how the universe works.

Religion is one of humanity's worst inventions. Making real life decisions based on ancient fairytales and traditions is never good.

No one takes the Bible seriously. If they did, they would see all the contradictions, inaccuracies and how evil God is. They just take the parts they like to justify them being assholes.

A rabbi was asked by one of his students “Why did God create atheists?” After a long pause, the rabbi finally responded with a soft but sincere voice. “God created atheists” he said, “to teach us the most important lesson of them all – the lesson of true compassion. You see, when an atheist performs an act of charity, visits someone who is sick, helps someone in need, and cares for the world, he is not doing so because of some religious teaching. He does not believe that God commanded him to perform this act. In fact, he does not believe in God at all, so his actions are based on his sense of morality. Look at the kindness he bestows on others simply because he feels it to be right. When someone reaches out to you for help. You should never say ‘I’ll pray that God will help you.’ Instead, for that moment, you should become an atheist – imagine there is no God who could help, and say ‘I will help you’.”

I love hearing about artists telling Republicans to fuck off for using their art.
Republicans were so pissed off about this. Dee Snider telling Republicans to FUCK OFF.

I hear Christians claiming children aren't safe around Trans people. May I suggest a mirror? Your religion has a bit of a track record for the exact things you claim Trans people do.
That is because evangelical Christians think it is their duty to save you from the hell they are going to
