burden of blame by deathbelle

Atsumu has a long history of pissing people off, but this time he’s gone too far. Someone wants him dead, and although he doesn’t know who or why, it becomes clear very quickly that both he and Osamu are in danger. After a couple of close calls, Kita - the Kumicho of Inarizaki - decides it’s not safe for the two of them to stay in Hyogo; not until he finds out who placed the hit and eliminates them. Atsumu reluctantly finds himself in Tokyo, taken in by a yakuza group that’s nothing like Inarizaki. The Black Jackals are a different breed, more lethal than he’s used to, and Sakusa Kiyoomi is the worst of them all. Of course that’s who Atsumu gets stuck with, and he and Sakusa are in constant competition for who hates each other more. Tokyo should be a safe haven but between Atsumu’s bloody new assignments, the lingering threat on his life, and all the days trapped with Sakusa, Atsumu isn’t sure he’ll make it out of Tokyo alive.

oh wow where do i even begin. this was a ride, the violence, the tension, the politics, and VIKINGS!! omi as the domineering jarl, atsumu and omi slowly falling in love and opening up for each other while still having distrust for the other. the first chapter was the best imo, though i do think this could definitely go on to be a longer fic.

i quite liked this! the tension between them kept me on edge the entire time. satoru is much younger than suguru and it plays off really well in the will-they-wont-they thing going on (suguru is a really responsible, older friend who is trying his best and satoru is a relentlessly horny brat) and the payoff makes the push-and-pull between them realllly worth it.

so. it turns out that documenting every fic that you have ever read, be it you like it or not, is annoying and tedious and not very fun (considering i immediately click out of a fic that i do not enjoy). i have gotten into the habit of simply bookmarking fics that i absolutely love and would hate to lose on my ao3 bookmarks, but ig at least documenting the ones that i like and love on this blog wouldn't be so bad. that way i dont' have to worry about offending the authors to fics i don't particularly enjoy with my unwanted criticism, and i can just focus on posting fics that i do enjoy. a sort of fic-rec blog, if you can call it that.

1. Dreamy Confessions by Micro_Komori (E)

The last thing Xeno expected to receive was explicit photos from his best friend.

As much as he tried to tell himself Stan sent them to him on accident, Xeno just couldn't ignore how elegant they were.

everything by this author is actually pretty good, i liked most of the stanxeno works. this in particular is very good, solid 7/10.

2. Kiss and Tell by Micro_Komori (E)

"What the fuck," Stan mutters as he stares down at the book in his hands.

He was expecting Xeno to be reading some nerd shit about chemistry or something, not whatever the fuck this was.

Or: Stan always saw Xeno as a goody two shoes loser, but all that changes when he discovers Xeno's little secret.

okay this was funny because stan is this heartthrob bad boy but xeno is like a certified slut and their clash in the library was hilarious but also sexy. 6.5/10 for me.

3. Hey mister ;) by Micro_Komori (E)

Senku creates a dating profile to find a partner for Byakuya. The goal is to act like his father, get matches, and score him some dates.

The last thing Senku expected was for college student Gen to message him and get invested chatting with him using his father's profile.

hilarious, but it ended right where i wanted to know more of. also an enjoyable read ig, gen is flirty and senku is an idiot for someone so smart. 6/10.

4. Centrefold by Micro_Komori (E)

"What the fuck," Stan exclaims, as he examines the cover in disbelief.

There on the front of the cover was an omega looking seductively at the reader. That wasn't out of the ordinary because it was an erotic magazine, but it was the features of the omega that made Stan grip the edges of the paper tighter and stare down in shock.

Or: Stan comes across a porn magazine that has an omega on the cover that looks strikingly similar to his best friend.

probably my favorite one from this author, a solid 7.5/10, the twist was amazing. i love fics where xeno is equally sexually charged as stan. 

5. Laughing Matters by EmpressofTears

It’s the fall of their senior year and Will just got his wisdom teeth taken out. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas came to hang out while he’s drugged up on pain meds and some embarrassing confessions slip out (not that Will’s going to remember any of them).

Now Mike has to deal with the fact that his best friend is in love with him and figure out why exactly he’s excited by the idea of kissing Will. (Hint: he’s got an itty bitty crush of his own.)

6. On Demand Bus Service by Anonymous (E)

Whenever Kanae asks of him with sultry whispers of his name, Kuzuha can't help but acquiesce to his boyfriend's requests, even if that entails being fucked throughout the night in the back seats of their high school's bus as their classmates sleep through it all.

this was hot, kuzuha is cute as fuck. 6.5/10.

7. Calendars and Kings by taizi

"When I was little, all the other kids got treats and candies on my birthday too, so I didn't know it was special for me. Ace always said it was, but I thought that was just 'cause he was my big brother. I thought that since it was already a holiday, it didn't count!"

The distance that liquid shot out of Marco’s mouth was impressive. It would have been more impressive if Thatch hadn’t been sitting in front of him.

this is probs the first marcoace fic i have ever read, but my god this was so good. ace is so precious and lovable and still ever so bratty here i love it. 7.5/10.

Atsumu and Kiyoomi realize they cannot have children. In an act of desperation, Kiyoomi asks Atsumu's gods for guidance.

But gods are pesky beings, and such wishes come with a heavy price.

gabi’s DILG sequel! they want children and the gods have such cruel ways of making their wishes come true. atsumu is more needy in this fic and omi is ever so attentive, 8/10!
