Dandy follows behind, dodging the occasional attack that comes her way.

“Oh no, it’s fine. Like, it’s really hard to hurt me... I mean, really hard, like, I’ve gotten stabbed a bunch and dealt with, like, fire and stuff so, y’know. I mean, it still hurts but, like, it heals so it’s not like I’m gonna die or anything.”

Was that oversharing? She felt like it wasn’t but how could she know?

“I’m just trying to avoid the whole, uhh, raising hell with my powers kinda thing so don’t worry about me.”

The hybrid had let her followed if she wanted. She could’ve left. He did warn her about the humans not being quite in their right minds. He took another hit at one of them,knocking them out. He could see Dandy looking a bit uncomfortable.

“Don’t worry much about them. The influence that holds them will leave them when they wake up. They might be a bit sore,but they’ll be fine. C’mon,I got a opening.”

He takes a small sprint through the crowd which he leads them up a flight of stairs. The room seemed a bit more narrow this time,with a few others blocking the next stairs up.

“…”

He pondered a moment to himself before holding a open hand upward,aiming it to above the others. A small amount of psychokinetic energy gathers up before shooting out a beam. It hit the roof above them,making a bit of small rubble fall onto them,which they collapse under the weight.

“Are you ok? I can heal small injuries if needed.”

He asks turning to her.

“Oh, umm, right...”

Now wouldn’t be the greatest time to mention that she didn’t really do fights, so Dandy just opted to stay quiet and silently pray that nothing went wrong this time.

She seems a bit lost at the start of the encounter, just sorta floating about indecisively, but someone runs up to her and takes a swing, which she manages to float out of the way of before going behind them and giving them a donkey kong punch on the top of their head. This doesn’t really do much so she just keeps doing it until it knocks them out.

Dandy blinks down at the unconscious body collapsed on the ground before looking back up and rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly.

Rayner looks around inside of the building. It seemed to be a bit spruced up inside,and the people had some weapons on them. One of his hands goes to his baton to rest it there for the time.

“They might notice us soon. Be ready for a fight…and try to knock them out.”

He whispered back while walking forward slowly,occasionally going around some furniture or other obstacles. A few of the oddly dressed people shuffled up to them,which he drew out his weapon. He ran up to one and hit a wrist of the person making them nearly drop their weapon. One of the others tried to swipe at him,nearly missing with their weapon.

“Jeez…thankfully they seem a bit sluggish due to the brainwashing…”

Dandy could specify, but she decided it wasn’t worth it. Besides, most of the time, it wasn’t necessarily the best idea to explain everything, not everyone reacted well to finding out that there were whole other universes and all that.

“Yeah, sure, alright. Let’s just go.”

And she’s off, following behind him, occasionally stopping to check something out, but never for too long. It’s pretty easy to catch up to someone when you can just, kinda, float around. Though, once they get to the building, she plants two feet on the ground and walks in behind him, looking around.

Yeah, this is pretty weird. When she speaks up, she makes sure to whisper.

“So, uhh, what now?”

“Uh well,this is Earth. So any extra terrestrial visitors are considered alien. Though she didn’t say too much with the message she gave me. So I guess she’s busy with something.”

He wondered about her abilities. Specially considering she said she was a demon. Her choice of words me him ponder on that briefly. He gives a small nod hearing her.

“Well…it’s not magic,but alright. You can follow along if you want. I was planning on checking out that madman. He’ll likely have a small group of people as well. I’m heading there now.”

After a few brief moments of checking his phone,he starts to head off towards where she said the madman was. After several minutes he comes up to a older building painted over with what appeared to be dark purple. He opens the door and wanders in.  There appeared to be a few people mindlessly roaming around with these somewhat blank expressions.

“Oh. Alien. Cool. I think I might’ve met an alien once? I mean, I dunno, it gets kinda hard to track what’s what in any given world so...”

Dandy shrugs, realizing she’s kinda getting off topic.

“Anyways! Like I said, I don’t got anything better to do, and it’s not like I can get any MORE traumatized.”

“Well, I mean, maybe, but I’m not really the type of person that has the privilege of being able to go mad just ‘cause someone’s got some mind altering magic.”

Rayner rubs at the back of his neck hearing her talk. He shakes his head some. He seemed to partially regret his choice of words for a moment.

“Yeah uh…she said she was a alien to Earth. So I’m half alien. I also have psychic and psychokinetic powers. It’s been a little hard to wrap my head around all of it.”

He shuffles a bit on the spot,arms folding over his chest as he thought to himself for a moment. He raises a brow curiously at her offer.

“Uh,if you want? I know what I fight has been causing a maddening influence over many creatures,as well causing inanimate objects to come alive somehow. It’ll be dangerous.”

When a monster dies they turn into dust, or ashes in my case. Their soul also disappears completely from this world once they do. When I die though my soul will linger due to it being similar in nature to a human’s soul.

-Rin takes a hair tie out of her jacket and puts her hair up. She didn’t feel like having her hair down at the moment-

“Dust. Ash. Soul. Got it.”

Yeah that was definitely a ‘this universe only’ kinda thing. But it didn’t matter. It’s not like she was planning on killing anyone anytime soon. She might, it’s not like she can predict the future, but she isn’t planning on it. Dove pauses for a long time before she speaks again.

“Sooooo... I’m just gonna list some questions about vampire shit real quick and just ask for a yes or no type of answer.”

She didn’t wait for a reply. Dove wasn’t asking permission, she was just telling Rin what would happen.

“So, how much do you need to drink blood? Can you eat other stuff? Shapeshift? Got any kind of vampire magic or some shit? Or non-vampire magic too, I guess. Enhanced speed or strength or anything like that? Do you actually suck blood or just break the skin and lick like bats? The whole reflection thing is bullshit, right?”

“Oh, and how much do you know about ancient magic and shit like that?”

I figured as much. I could tell you’re a human Dove. My sense of smell is pretty strong. That’s how vampires can tell each other apart in a crowd on the surface. Kinda weird I know but it works for discretion purposes.

Well she certainly gave me quite the workout. I wasn’t even going all out though… I felt no need to. Clearly it was a good call to make or that girl would turned to dust in an instant if I punched her.

“Oh cool vampires can smell me. I guess that’s just something I know now.”
