Valentines Day is coming up, so I made some Valentine’s cards for all my fellow demisexuals out there

A bit of background - So I work at a Letting Agency/Mortgage Brokers, there are basically 2 businesses in our small office with my dad, the boss of both businesses, him being a mortgage broker with his friend Chris, who works from home and comes in on a Friday (important) and then there’s me and my female colleague Emily who work on the lettings side. The mortage brokers work in the back of the office, we work at the front of the office. (Important)

So basically we have the weekly newspaper delivered to us every Thursday. Now unlike most businesses, we just leave the pile at the display window in which people can come in and take a paper for free. We get weekly regulars who come in, politely ask for a paper as usual and I’ll say “yeah go ahead” with a smile, in which they’ll reply with a thank you. In comes middle-aged bitch.

Now this happened sometime late last year in which a middle-aged woman would come in every Friday, not acknowledge me or Emily at the front, take a paper, and just walk out, no thank you, no hi, nothing. It didn’t bother us really at first as we’ve had a couple of people do this but by their second visit they’d give us an hello and thank you.

Eventually it got to a point the one time in which as she walked out the door Emily shouted “you’re welcome!”. She gave us an evil look and didn’t say anything. This is what really p***ed us off.

Now comes a rainy Friday morning, Chris has arrived at the office (who only comes in on a Friday), he knows of this woman as we’ve brought her up to him before. We’re all in the mortgage brokers’ office at the back as I’m making tea for everyone, so there’s no one at the front.

Now as he’s getting his laptop out we all hear the door open, I had a quick glance and it was her. She didn’t see me as she was coming through the door. I quickly hid away and told everyone it was her.

At this point Chris told everyone to be quiet, I wondered what he was going to do, as soon as she picked up a paper he screamed at the top of his lungs “THIEF!”, the woman immediately shit herself and ran out the office. As she left we were all in stitches. The best being that she forgot her paper and hasn’t come in the office since.

Reblog if you’d be interested in making a new group/community as an alternative to LGBT

lately, the lgbt+ community has been making us uncomfortable. the “ace discourse” going on, the wave of hijacking mlm positivity posts, biphobia and truscum… it’s gross and has been really irking us. good blogs turning out to be Aphobes, posts getting hijacked and turned into arguments. lately its seeming more and more like you have to be SGA or you’re not welcome at all. frankly, i think it’s giving the lgbt+ community a bad vibe and making us want to distance ourselves.  (please note i say “bad vibe” and not “bad name” because im not sure how this effects how people see the community from the outside, i just know that its making me uncomfortable as part of it)

Unfortunately, although MOGAI is a decent alternative, its become too overrun by the rumors that it was started by a pedo, mockery and troll blogs for us to feel comfortable going to. We still want a community, so we’re hoping to create at least a somewhat visible group/community for lgbtqia+ people who feel uncomfortable associating themselves with the lgbt+ community for whatever reason.

Goals:

-make a new, more inclusive acronym thats shorter and easier to remember/access. 

-create safe spaces for aroaces, NB people, bi/pan and as many others as possible. this is meant to be as inclusive as possible without allowing kink/pedo/ect. to be considered part of it.

-try to create new, safer tags and positivity blogs

-create safer and better, nonsexualized places for minors/teenagers within the community

basically, just a safer, more inclusive lgbt+.

I don’t want to start arguments on this post, I want to find people willing to help me organize this. I am NB, panromantic and gray ace. I’m hoping to organize this with as many opinions and input from as many people as possible, aroace, intersex, bi, ect. if you have any ideas or constructive input, please feel free to message me about it and share.

if you reply to this post with hate or send me negative messages they’ll only be deleted and you’ll be blocked. if you’re only going to ‘politely’ tell me this is a stupid idea or i shouldnt bother, please also avoid that.
