THIS IS A GLASSES!DIRK GENTLY APPRECIATION POST

Dirk getting his glasses and gazing in wonder at everything bc he’d just assumed everyone saw the world a little blurry at a distance

Dirk having as many pairs of glasses as he does jackets and ties- he colour co-ordinates them

Dirk always forgetting his glasses are on the top of his head- Todd always rolling his eyes and pulling them down for him and Dirk making the same little ‘oh!’ face of realisation every time

Dirk losing his glasses so often Farah buys him a little neck chain for them

Dirk forgetting his glasses at home and Todd whipping out a pair- he carries a spare for him, like Dirk always carries spare meds for Todd

Dirk’s glasses being understudied by Mona so she can get the prescription right if Dirk ever gets stuck without them

Dirk sitting with a smile and totally fogged-up glasses when he relaxes on rainy days with his steaming cup of tea held right to his face

Dirk being annoyed by that same fog when he walks in from the cold and wiping it away with both thumbs like windscreen wipers

Todd taking Dirk’s glasses off for him when they get really into kissing and those glasses hanging from Todd’s fingers when he has his arms draped over Dirk’s shoulders
