This recording is a live performance of mine which was part of my senior recital at The Ohio State University. It is considered to be one of Chopin’s most difficult pieces to perform, and trust me, I practiced this piece for hundreds of hours until I could play it in my sleep. Just for fun I made this video to depict today’s contrast between “STRESS and PEACE”.Chopin actually wrote this Scherzo in B minor in 1831 during the uprising of the Russian empire. It’s sad to think that 200 years later we are in the midst of another uprising of the Russian empire.

Johnny Carson was so great to me on both my TONIGHT SHOW appearances. This lead to me playing at the WHITE HOUSE (bottom left pic), and it all started back in Columbus Ohio for me where my college job was playing a white baby grand piano in the original LIMITED STORE and VICTORIA SECRETS was just a small room attachment in the back corner. Great memories!

BE STILL

Waltz Op.42 - Chopin This live performance was part of my junior recital for my Bachelors of Music degree in Piano Performance. It was recorded live at Hughes Hall on a Steinway (9 foot concert grand) at The Ohio State University. Those days were full of nothing but practice, practice, practice, lol.

HAPPY PEDDLER  

During my undergraduate days at OSU, I remember a street vendor who peddled his cart selling hotdogs, pretzels, and soda. He always seemed to be smiling, though I never knew what was happening in his life. He inspired me to try to smile more, even when life is tough. Kidz at Play

Some of my most favorite moments in life were watching all 4 of my children play as they were growing up. It didn’t matter if I was watching them in our pool, our backyard, at the beach, with or without friends, or any other place or situation; to see them play with passion and joy, meant the world to me. These cherished memories are what inspired me to write this piece for them.

PLAY THE GAME

I love all sports, always have, and this is my tribute to the love of the game. Originally this piece was called "VOX". I wrote and produced it 20 years ago for a national CESNA Airlines commercial (of course, they wanted it to sound very much like the popular movie theme "Chariots of Fire").
