Never done that before but its fine bc I can still get an A- in the class potentially #bc the prof hasnt marked one of my papers yet #but honestly im okay if i get in the B range its really whatever at this point #it won't drag my beautiful 4.0 down that much bc its my final semester #txt

At this point in my life I cannot stomach the weird ceremonial mythologizing about warfare that's so prevalent in western societies (e.g. remembrance day). This is for many reasons really but one of the main ones is the knowledge that mass sexual violence is an extremely common part of warfare and is almost always enacted by male soldiers against civilian women & their children. And with that in mind, it really wouldn't be too far a stretch to say that many - not most, but many - of the men we waste time exalting as heroes or protectors of "freedom" were either rapists themselves or at least privy to acts of sexual violence. And they did all of that and then came home to their mothers and wives and daughters and this is one of the things that makes me feel kind of sick to think about too hard.

Rhythm 0 and Rest Energy are two pieces, which for me was the most difficult in my entire life of performance artist, because in both pieces I was not in charge. In Rest Energy we actually hold one arrow on the weight of our body and arrow is pointing my heart. We have two small, little microphones on our hearts where we can hear the sounds of the heart beating. As our performance is progressing heart beats become more and more intense and it’s just four minutes and ten seconds, for me it was, I tell you it was forever.
