These are three of the many things that Micki Grant was the first to do. Interpretations: Thanks to everyone who came to see Muhal Richard Abrams (#ImpactDD) SOLO and ENSEMBLE friday night at Roulette:- what an amazing event. The first half featured Abrams playing solo piano, while the second half featured a stellar ensemble. So great to see such enthusiastic support for such an amazing and influential artist! with Amirtha Kidambi, Richarda Abrams, Thomas Buckner (voices), Amina Claudine Myers and Joseph Kubera (piano), Tom Hamilton (electronics), Tom Chiu (violin), Meaghan Burke (cello), JD Parran (clarinets), and Warren Smith (percussion).
