Soooo here's an updateee! Unfortunately my school didn't accept my current employment as a valid company for my OJT program (apparently that was too self-serving). This means I have to work 2 jobs (12 hours in all from Monday-Friday) which leaves me with 1 day for rest (Saturday will be used for OJT orientation stuff).

Long story short, part 2 of TSoF is gonna take months for me to post, I'm sorry ToT.

For now I gift you a short comic I started last year for a Shortaki AU based on a prompt I found on Tumblr. I was also writing a oneshot fic for this but never got to finish. Helga is a biker girl (her outfit so cute :3) and Arnold is working at a flower shop they never met before.

Rest assured I will come back hopefully with more free time :> !

Ello! Thank you for liking them! I'm still figuring out what kind of comic style I'm most comfortable with. I kinda do both digital and traditional. For comics I always do thumbnails first usually in paper, but sometimes I go straight into digital. Sometimes I also draw on my phone with my fingers lols (it's how I first learned digital drawing).

Here's a sample of very rough thumbnails I drew with my fingers XD.

Eventually I moved on to a graphics tablet(a gift from my family). The smoothness is just from practicing confidence of strokes (I'm planning to eventually buy a tablet with a screen from my paycheck!!! 0^0).

please!!! where’s part 2 of your shortaki comic

Hello anon, first off thank you! I'm glad someone out there is waiting for the next parts of my comic. I know I said it would be out by the end of January if I was being optimistic but it's looking like I was being delusional lols.

Right now I'm at a point of uncertainty, cuz my school might not consider my current job as my internship so there's a possibility of me having to get two jobs at the same time 🥲. Worst case scenario I'll be working for 12 hours a day so I probably can't draw for the next 3 months.

Best case scenario I'll only need 1 job so I have free time and would finish the comic by the end of March. Currently, I'm making an appeal to both my school and the company I work for. I'll give an update on that later on.

For now I give a sneak peak of these panels I managed to finish. Please stay patient 🥺🙏~

Damn, it's been months I think but it's finally here! TSoF: The Sensation of Falling Chapter 2, part 1 (that's right, part 1!). I realized that Chapter 2 was longer than the previous and if I wanted Chapter 2 to be posted, I'd rather it not take even longer, so I split them.

I've gotten busy from working on my thesis (I made a game!) and I wish I could say I might post more frequently, but I really can't XD especially with my internship coming up (I'm an IT student in case anyone was wondering).

Chapter 2 part 2 has more pages than part 1 so it will probably take... idk another month (if I'm being optimistic), we'll see depending on how busy I get.

Made this in the middle of making the comic for Chapter 2 of TSoF (The Sensation of Falling). I really liked the fic "Missing" by Missie2, it's a pretty dark M-rated fic but it appeals to my love of mystery, horror and crime. I definitely shed a few tears for Helga in this fic, poor girl's been through so much and yet remains incredibly strong ToT.

So before anime my first love had always been cartoons, I only recently watched Hey Arnold! recently (I blame betaruga's art I've been sucked in ever since) and its been a hyperfixation for months now. I wanted to make a comic based on one of my fave fics of Shortaki.

I wanted to show my appreciation via this project, which has been fun and challenging so far (tell ya what my environment and angling of panels have never looked as good lmao). And I have fallen in love with pencil textures.
