I found a place and I can move on the 1st if I can fund all the lease and moving expenses. Which is great because I only have until midnight in my current house.

Not only are they willing to take, a 29 year old artist with Asperger's and my 78 year old mother with dementia and our dog, we can live and have a storefront gallery that has huge waliking traffic. It's only a block away, so the move will not destroy my mom. I am short on moving expenses. I'll need another $4500 to hire a mover on short notice, have cleaners and cover the deposit. The rent is more than currently but utilities are included, so overall expenses go down. Plus I'll have my own gallery!!!

I need to convert art into cash immediately. My largest pieces on Etsy are 65% Off and full of new pieces.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated. All of the social safety nets that you think exist I've completely fallen through.

I don't know how to say this intelligently but something is really bothering me about the reviews for the barbie movie complaining that she didn't go deeply enough into feminist critique? Like,,, it's the Barbie movie. It's not Feminist Theory 402. Also, it's a movie about how women are expected to be spectacular at everything they do and how exhausting it can be to be the representative for all women when you're just one of them and people really watched that and turned around to tell Greta Gerwig that the movie wasn't enough because it wasn't perfect?

It was heartfelt and funny and silly and hot pink and that is enough!! Where is the media literacy!! You all are legitimately hurting my heart with this trash take!! It's fine to not like the movie but how come movies about the "male experience" can be about SOME men but movies about women have to be the balm AND rage AND catharsis AND call to action for every woman ever??? It's the Barbie movie!!! Not Gloria Steinem's latest manifesto!!! Let it fucking be!!!

I find the fact that the Barbie movie is simultaneously being criticized by the right as “too radical”, and criticized by the left as “too nice to men” and/or “too pandering”, quite funny, given that America’s WHOLE SPEECH was about how, no matter what women (like the director of the Barbie movie) do, it will simultaneously always be too little and too much.

I can’t say any nuances of the movie that haven’t already been said, but like, fuck man, love is so deep and so kind and to be able to see glimpses of it from behind my little ticket desk makes me a little less nihilistic.
