"Oh, shit..." He'd never quite had that reaction before, though he supposed it was bound to happen one day. Still being relatively new to being a GP, Thomas was sure he'd come across a wide range of characters over the years. Some more pleasant to deal with than others. Though that wasn't really his concern. "Look, um... I'm sorry, mate. S'pose yer right, it's none of my business." He shrugged his shoulders before they seemed to deflate, much like himself.

"Was jus' worried, y'know? Comes with the territory, I guess." And the reason he became a doctor in the first place. "Jus'... take care of yourself, yeah?" Why did he feel like he was about to get a mouthful for that as well?

“Nah, it’s just a day o’ some nosy twerp tryin’ a geg in on an issue that don’t exist. Thing’s older than y’ got years behind your medical degree anyways.” Despite how fresh it looked, which was easy to blame on the molten materials of hell scarring mortal flesh. Probably, anyways, John kinda did skip out on that lesson back in the day. “Or, y’ listen to the guy who knows more about it than you do ‘n mind yer business.” 

He tore the business card up for emphasis. “Find your patients somewhere else.”

Must say your blog is amazing. Thomas sounds very interesting and his backstory is really good. Your writing is jsut as amazing. Care to describe Thomas in a few words and what he wants most in life? Keep on writing! You’ve got this!

✒️ Asdfghjkl, you've no idea how much this made me smile, thank you I really appreciate it! In short, Thomas is a very gentle and somewhat shy soul but when you get him talking about a topic he finds genuinely interesting he could talk for hours without even realising it and then get embarrassed and apologise lol. All he wants in life is to help people, he's still very much at the beginning of his medical career as a GP so he still has a lot to learn and get used to when it comes to his patients and the very real fact that he can't always save everyone. It won't stop him from trying but it's still something he struggles with. Again, I really appreciate this! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

"Jus' a bit, mate..." The young doctor managed to chuckle softly as he realised how obvious it must seem, maybe even before that strong English accent had fallen out of his mouth. With his eyes wide and darting all over the place, he probably looked more akin to a lost puppy than anything else. "Was jus' goin' for a wander, get a feel of the streets, y'know? But... well, now I've got no clue where I've wandered off to." A trait that had followed him from childhood, usually with his older sister telling him off once she eventually found him. "Headed for me flat, or, um... apartment?" It was going to take a while to get used to all the Americanisms. Quickly, he seemed to check every pocket he had in his coat until he finally found a rather battered note with his new address on it. "Here... don't s'pose I'm close, am I? After a while, all these buildin's start lookin' the same to me."

ㅤㅤIt's not often that Bobby walks the streets of New York incognito, in fact it feels a little odd for him. To a point he realizes how little he does it. Being ice is a lot easier to get around, he could just sling a sled & be on his merry way. Pausing mid-step when he recognizes an accent, Bobby turns towards it with a curious look & a polite tilt to his lips. A low chuckle slips out. "You a first timer? It can take some getting used to." He enjoys the aerial view himself. Helps you take it all in. "Where are you headed?"

Admittedly, it was a rather idle thought, one that some might keep to themselves, but it was also so innocent, something that the young doctor still had in spades. How long that would last was anyone's guess, a few decades down the line he might not be quite so naive or chipper.

"Yeah?" The look of interest was clear on the Scouse's face, lips pursed together in thought as he gripped the book a little tighter and began to wander his way over to the front desk. It seemed as though the other man had made a sale with just a few sentences. "Never really been into all that stuff, me. Y'know, folks who think it's real. Nice to think about though." He admitted aloud, offering the stranger a warm smile. "Wouldn't mind bein' proven wrong, mind." A quiet chuckle left him as he placed the book down on the counter.

"Nice shop ye've got, by the way. Aren't enough places that feel so... I dunno, personable, nowadays? S'pose everythin's all online most of the time, isn't it? Some of us are still stuck in the stone age... but can't beat the feel of a good book in yer hands. Sorry... talkin' out loud again." The Brit hadn't managed too many casual chats since arriving in the US, feeling a lot more nervous when out and about in the busy streets. "How much ye wantin' for the book anyway?"

Dwight stifled a small laughter at the man’s words. If only he knew the truth about the shopkeeper.

The witch was content with people not knowing, besides the people he trusted. It made less of a hassle and less minds he needed to erase. His father taught him a memory wiping spell in case he ever got caught using magic by someone that shouldn’t have seen it. However, Dwight didn’t like using that spell, it made him feel bad.

“Wouldn’t that be nice?” Dwight smiled. “The book you got there are some historical lore about supposed witches that lived around here. Of course, these claims are never confirmed but I think it’s an interesting piece of history.”

"Jesus... goin' to be one of those days, is it?" Thomas knew full well that not everyone welcomed his concern or medical treatment, or any medical treatment at all, in some people's cases. Not that didn't keep him from trying, he just wanted to help. "Fine, but I'm tellin' ye now that it doesn't look right..." A soft sigh left him, pausing a moment as he began to rifle around several of his inside coat pockets trying to find his business card. "If it starts actin' up, gimme a call, yeah? Out of hours sort of deal. Y'know... quiet like, no questions, besides the ones I need to know, at least."

“--No, I don’t.” He’s already batting away on instinct, it’s about what his reaction always was whenever it came to the scar on his face. He couldn’t be blamed, given the nature of it even if it was open and bleeding? It probably could curse a person for all John knew. “An’ yer nosin’ in on shite that’s none o’ your business. Plus, this look bleeding to you anyways?”

Thomas is terrified of flying. If anyone asks him about it he'll just say something along the lines of "it's not the flying I'm scared of, it's the crashing and burning that scares me". He still travels by plane when he has to but if he can get away with jumping on a train instead, he usually prefers it. When he does have to get a plane, he takes a few medical textbooks with him and he'll sit and reread them to keep his focus on anything other than flying. ✈️
