Markus x Connor Fanfiction!
Detroit Become Human is probably the most amazing game of... ever, and so, like every other obsession, there are SO MANY SHIPS! But out of all of the Detroit Become Human ships I think I like the Connor x Markus ship the best for both of them. I mean, North is a totally awesome character and all, but... she just wants to kill everyone all the time so I just think that a Markus and Connor ship would be good every once in a while... or every day. (Btw, I don’t do this a lot and I know it’s terrible. Sorry!) :(
Markus outside of a restaurant at a small wooden table, watching the snow fall lightly around him. The sky was a dark, cloudy, gray and everything below it was white and cold. He didn’t care. He liked the snow, as well as being outside. But it wasn’t just the snow or the trees, or the constant wind blowing by that made him want to stay frozen in that moment forever. It was the familiar face coming closer to the small wooden table that made that second want to last for all eternity. Connor walked over and collapsed in the chair across from him and leaned forward across the table, a smile spread across his lips. “Hello, Markus. Why are you out here in the cold and not inside?” He nodded, tilting his head slightly. Markus gave a friendly nod back and sighed, a cloud of steam rising out of his mouth. “Cold? I thought you were just a machine that couldn’t feel anything, but now you’re cold?” He teased. Connor gave a small, barely noticeable sigh, and continued. “I cannot feel the cold, but it can still damage my circuits. And yours too. You should head someplace warm... like inside the restaurant?” Markus gave him an obvious look. “You can’t let you go inside a restaurant if you’re not going to eat anything!” Connor chuckled and hesitated thoughtfully “Uh... good point.”
Connor smiled at the relaxed look on Markus’s face. Suddenly, he had a very strong and random realization. “Hey, Markus...?” Markus rested his chin on his hand “Yeah? Is something wrong?” Connor noticed that he had a very confused expression on is face “Huh? Oh. no, nothing is wrong... I think.” Markus lifted an ayebrow “What is it?” Connor hesitated, thinking hard about how to explain. “I... just... think very highly of you.” He saw Markus’s eyebrows shoot up and a shocked smile grow on his lips. “Thanks... You’re a really great friend to.” Connor suddenly felt disappointment hit him like a bullet to the head. Why was he feeling this way? Markus stood up and stretched. “I should get going.” He said, “People are waiting for me!” Markus walked up to Connor and gave him a slight pat on the shoulder before turning to walk off. Connor had this confusing but desperate urge to make Markus stay. he wanted to tell Markus how he felt but he he didn’t know how he felt. Without thinking, he grabbed onto Markus’s sleeve. What else could he do? He could hear the circuits whirring inside him. Markus turned his head back and looked at Connor over his shoulder for a few minutes before fully turning around and stepping a bit closer. Connor knew he needed to think of an explaination, but how? Markus leaned in, his face almost and inch away from Connor’s. “You worry to much.” He said quietly before leaning in further and pressing his mouth to Connor’s. Connor’s eyes widened. what was happening? He felt as if his mechanical heart would explode! Markus stepped back and looked at Connor, amusement gleaming in his eyes before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Connor pressed two fingers to his lips, a million thoughts flying through his head at once. This couldn’t be real! “...woah..” was the only word that came out of his mouth. He could hear Markus laughing shortly after as he walked off.
