Acorn Niseko
This is a brilliant and beautiful restaurant, a must on your list in Niseko. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the food and the wine to pair with it.
The owner Chef El Bulli a 3 Star Michelin chef and restaurant designer Ron Herman maximize nature’s blessings, “acorn” with a very modern interpretation of Japanese food.

Flying into Sapporo, capital of the mountainous northern Japanese island of Hokkaido is famous for it’s beer, skiing and annual Sapporo Snow Festival with enormous ice sculptures. We missed the ice sculptures though.

Vancouver Last night here and last night of Chinese New Year. After dinner you are on the same floor as the casino… perfect. 1886 Chinese Fine Dining, 39 Smithe St, Vancouver BC Lobster Dumplings Angus Beef Tenderloin, orange peel glaze, crispy matchstick taro. I couldn’t stop eating this. Very interesting was the shoestring taro. Refreshing mango, strawberries and coconut sorbet.
