Slicey let out a shriek, jumping back. Their... tail??? floofing up to appear larger as some sort of defense mechanism. Watermelons aren’t supposed to have tails, are they?

They didn’t say anything, and yet another voice could be heard coming from them, their mouth not moving in the process. “Who’s to say we aren’t corrupted, and you’re just seeing a very, very lucky wish?”
