I know everyone wants to see Eddie crying at Buck's bedside, or whatever, but I want just the opposite. I want Eddie to be a steel trap; I want him to be perfectly functional, a stable rock for Chris, for Maddie, for Chim, for Bobby, for everyone who needs him while Buck sleeps. I want him to be the shoulder to cry on, the listening ear, the voice of reason, the steadying hand when Bobby is coming apart at the seams. I want everyone to side-eye him with a mixture of understanding and pity because they think they recognize this -- this regression into Eddie's old way of dealing with stress, with guilt. I want Hen to tell him it wasn't his fault. I want Chim to tell him that everything is going to be okay. I want Bobby to tell him that he did everything right. I want Eddie to nod and agree and I want them all to just... visibly disbelieve that he believes a single thing they're saying.

Then I want Buck to wake up...and I want Eddie to absolutely lose it. All the grief, and fear, and guilt and stress that's been pent up in his chest, I want him to just release it all. Ideally, I want him to be sitting at Buck's bedside when he wakes up and just lean forward and bury his sob in Buck's thigh while Buck runs a weak hand through his hair, but that's just wishful thinking, so I'll settle for Eddie pressing their intertwined hands to his forehead and just weeping, and Buck telling him he's okay, everything's okay, asking him about Chris, forgiving him since Eddie's going to need it. Since Eddie is the one who was supposed to have his back and "didn't."

Can we please talk about the way Eddie didn't start sobbing until Buck came into the room?

At first, when buck steps into the room we see him on the floor, gripping the bat and trembling but otherwise silent, almost as if he was trying to be quiet and keep it together. The dam didn't truly burst until buck came in and was calling for him. I know we've been saying it since the episode aired but holy shit buck literally broke down his walls.

its so difficult to explain the absolute dread and fear to Americans about the Queen dying because they leap immediately to jokes and memes or rolling their eyes and asking if you're a royalist.

babes....they've planned a national MONTH of mourning for when she dies. all programming shifted to mourning the Queen, and god knows it'll be tory brainwashing.

a funeral costs around 12 million for a prince!! how much is it going to be for a Queen!! a new coronation's price???

Hello and welcome to Tropetember 2022!!

Tropetember is a multifandom event celebrating everyone’s favourite fanfic tropes, held during the month of September. There will be a trope prompt for each day of the month, but this is only a guide - feel free to choose any of the tropes as you wish.

From the beginning of September, we will be accepting submissions to this blog for fanworks tagged with ‘tropetember’ and ‘R-tropetember’ (for works with adult content). Submissions should either contain a link to a fanfiction site where your work is posted (eg. AO3) or the text/body of your work. To place a submission you should click on the submission button under the blog title.

We have also opened an AO3 collection titled ‘Tropetember 2022’ into which you can post your work. When you go to post a new work in AO3, there will be a section that says ‘Post to Collections / Challenges’. In the field next to it, type 'Tropetember’ and it should pop up. Make sure to submit it to this year’s collection!

This event is intended to be a minor-accessible companion to Kinktober. NS/ FW content is welcome, but we want this to be a safe event for minors too, so we ask that any content rated M or E be tagged 'R-tropetember’ so that everyone can curate their experience. Content that might be considered sensitive and/or controversial should also be tagged as 'R-tropetember’ along with any other relevant warnings.

We’re releasing the prompts early below so that authors, artists and other fan creators can make a head start, but we will not be posting any submissions before September starts. (If we miss your submissions to the blog and a few days have passed, feel free to message us to let us know!) At the time of this post the Tropetember 2022 AO3 collection is already open and you can submit your work there.

This event is not a bingo and you don’t have to fill all the slots. You can do only one, some, or all of them, or repeat any trope several times, and still be a part of Tropetember - we’d love to have you!

omg this nearly made me cry from joy. yeah I'm working on two fics atm, a probie buck fic and more of eddie recovery bc I'm a sucker for that. might post a one shot or two that have been brewing but I'm mainly focusing on the other two
