I’m still not completely caught up yet but here’s my thoughts so far

Bea is adorable and I just want to stick her in my pocket and carry her everywhere. 10/10 and I only just met her. I’m still in love with Claudia but if Bea is open then I might just switch. She’s just so cute.

Hari’s art style is so out of place and it’s frustrating me every time he’s on my screen. But he’s character is ok. 3/10

The casa boys. Omg hot. All of them are good looking. Max’s face is prettier than most girls and he gives me Bobby vibes (he’ll never be my booping baker boy though). Kyle’s body is everything I could have wanted. His tattoos are actually good. Shawn is giving husband. And Liam looks good but he’s lame (jk I’m happy there’s at least one person who doesn’t want us).

I mean just look at them 😍🥵 fb art this season is it (ignoring misplaced Hari)

The clothes are… how do I put this.. Awful. Horrendous. Atrocious. There’s only like 2 or 3 things I really like. But there’s not much that’s worth the diamonds they’re asking for. 🙄

I won’t lie I’m enjoying it so far. The drama is bland but I’m still curious about the story. I will say I loved them dumping our partner. I kinda wish they kept them out a little longer. Maybe til after casa amor.

I know I haven’t been active much lately. I just had a baby. My first little one so it’s been a big change. I will catch up soon. From what I’ve seen so far this season is looking promising. Can’t wait to get back into it.

I need to speak on this because it’s happened far too many times and seems to be a recurring pattern with Fusebox.

It’s really shameful and disheartening to see how often Fusebox puts black women characters into couples with people that don’t actually like them, and proceeds to villainize them in the eyes of MC/other characters in the game.

We’ve seen it in S2 with Hope being loyal to Noah then getting disrespected by him when he confessed to MC in the end.

We’ve seen it with Grace in S6, sticking with Ozzy although he’s disrespected her and clearly wasted her time by staying with her when he was pining for MC all along. And even when he does tell her he’s not interested anymore, she does everything in her power to “win him over” instead of allowing her to rightfully look elsewhere for love.

And if you’re going the Jin route in S8, it happens with Luna. Jin doesn’t want her but he sticks around to spare her feelings. She embarrasses herself trying to win him over only to get booted off the show.

Next, they love to turn them into the “mean ones” by getting upset with MC/defending their relationship when romance (often initiated by the one they’re coupled up with) strikes.

Then they’re the enemy and everyone is waiting for them to be voted out of their game.

Yeah, sure, they’re just characters. It’s just a game. But it blows my mind, especially seeing this as a black player, that time and time again they’ve done this with the black women characters in the exact SAME way:

1. Couple with someone that’s not interested

2. argue/be a jerk to MC/refuse to take hints that their love interest doesn’t like them

3. do acrobatics to win said love interest over

4. get heartbroken, kicked off

If you’re going to put black women in your show, is it too much to ask them to be respected? To be deserving of a happy ending too? Reflect on how you’ve been representing black women, Fusebox.

Then do better.

For the Tyler-curious…

Before Tyler arrived, we were all feeling pretty invested in our people, whether that was the person we were paired up with, or in our hold out for Claudia, Theo, or (in my case) both Claudia and Theo when they realize we all want each other and why not just be a throuple. Hell, I’m willing to expand to beyond 3 and bring the others in. A huge sacrifice on my part, I know, but I love them that much.

Anyhoo, Tyler got about 3.5 seconds to impress us, so I’m guessing not a lot of people switched to him. But I did, so you don’t have to!

I am happy/devastated to report that he is lovely and wonderful and funny and now I am torn between six people instead of just five.

Here are some highlights for those who may have been tempted, but just not enough

The evidence is damning...

His response to a cheek kiss was respectful and hot and HELLO he has dimples.

He is playfully snarky, and I like that in a date

He has a nice family:

Seriously, he's so cute. Cocky and yet desperate, my favorite combo:

Some might find this line cringe, but it only deepened my status as this man's little betch. I mean, IMAGINE this in a New Zealand accent:

Other ticks in the pro column:

- He does NOT like food in the bedroom

- He DOES like role play

- He is not ruffled by other’s attempts to rattle him and he’s willing to keep things civil.

Alright I'll stop there. But as you can see he's funny but sincere, sweet but not a pushover, and a goddamn kiwi. I'm ready to see what else he has to offer this week.

So played today’s episodes and it was ok. Going for Jack and he’s actually pretty cute. Oakley is my close number 2. And Jin is adorable and kinda funny. Theo isn’t my type but Claudia 😳🥵 that girl is fire.

Interested to see what they do with this season. So far though the overall rating I would give it is probably 4/10

Art style is ok I just can’t put my finger on it but some of it feels out of place. Maybe it’s our Mc. She’s beautiful but the art looks to me a little different from everyone else.
