I had a strange experience today that I can’t share anywhere else. So I get an LinkedIn update about my ex from a 7 year long relationship about “Congratulate him for his new position at. . .”. I usually ignore those, but for some reason I couldn’t help but notice he updated his pic for the first time in a while. Out of curiosity, I look up the company and I find their “Meet the team” page. Lo and behold, my ex is right there in one of those classy black and white studio photos. And you know the first thought I had?

He had the dorkiest turtleneck on.

Like, really dorky. I laughed out loud because I’ve never seen him wear such a thing and it looked sooooo strange on him (not horrible, just strange). But it was...a nice feeling. After getting it out of my system, I couldn’t help but sigh with a peaceful smile.
