    madison watched the entire interaction from afar , in like a totally non - creepy way . at first she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her . that she hadn’t actually spotted elle out and about . it could’ve been a trick of the light . but then their eyes met from across the way and madison couldn’t bring herself to look away - similar to the way people hate to look away from terrible accidents .  she can’t really seem to stop herself from walking over either . what was she going to do ? ignore elle , of all people ? she couldn’t if she tried … and she’s tried . with a vice grip on her iced coffee and a tight lipped smile , maddie ushered a greeting that she can only hope sounds casual . “hey … come here often ?” it’s a joke . she knows all too well that the other has a soft spot for this place . memories of the two passing time in the coffee shop come to mind . that was before things went downhill . “it’s , uh , been a while . . .you taking care of yourself ?” she has to ask , even if she knows the answer , and prepares herself for a lie .

elle’s eyes frantically scanned her notepad . nothing she’d written computing the only thing running through her mind is whether or not she she turn back around to find maddie still standing there just waiting for her to wave her over . she tries to shake off the thought though . figuring the other had potentially finally moved on from their back and forth after elle being away for over a year . she couldn’t necessarily blame her for doing so . then the smallest smile forms on the blondes features when she hears the corny joke rolling off the other’s lips . “ hey , no-no must be a new construction or something , “ she joked back , with an almost unnoticeable shrug of her shoulders . this was one of elle’s favorite places for many reason ; the paparazzi never seemed to expect it , the coffee was the best , and she’d created some of the best memories with people closest to her . people much like the girl in front of her now . “ too long , “ she commented , “ i am , “ even if she’d been forced into taking care of herself  . she felt this time around she listened to the tips and tricks given to her in rehab and was ready to take them out into the world with her . or maybe she was just convincing herself that because she wasn’t quite out of the woods with the rehab programs , just yet . “ for once in my life , “ she shrugged , like the comment was nothing at all . her eyes fell from maddie and down to the empty seat near her . “ take a seat ? stay awhile, “ she patted the seat with a tempting look on her face . “ i mean ... as long as you don’t have something to get to right away . “

fingertips wrapping around her cup of coffee , bringing it to her lips as she glanced around . trying to shake off the awkward feeling that lingered between the two girls , but there was no use in doing that . it had been over a year since the last time she saw the brunette , that was the last time she saw most people in the city , really . “ i’m good . “ and she was good , if she wasn’t good after more than a year in what she considered to be a dressed up prison, she certainly wouldn’t be sitting in this coffee shop , right now . her eyes wandering upward as she counted the days since she returned home , “ a week ago , “ she wasn’t surprised cami had no idea she was back . she hadn’t touched any of her social media and made a point to steer clear of areas where paparazzi could find her . she just wanted some peace before getting flung back into the thick of her reality . “ just trying to lay low , you know ? “ for as long as she could at least . “ how have you been ? “ it was the polite thing to ask , she figured .

her attempt at laying low did not prevail . hearing cami make a snide remark to the girl in passing just before taking up an empty space next to elle . putting her pen down , she turned to the girl she once considered a close friend . “ i guess i should be thanking you , “ she remarked , her head slightly tilted , taking her sight off of her notepad and onto the brunette . although she didn’t need anyone to stand up for her , she never did , she did appreciate the attempt . a small smile gracing her features in an attempt to replace the silence apposed to using the words she simply couldn’t find .

it was the first day back in miami that the blonde decided to go out on her own . finding her way to one of her favorite coffee shops . after a pleasant encounter with the barista she found a nice secluded spot by a window . setting down her cappuccino , notepad , and go to purple pen for songwriting . even though she’d spent the last year with not much else to do but write , she was still eager to get the lyrics floating in her head out . pulling out her airpod when she felt a tap on her shoulder , looking up to see someone she didn’t recognize but the smile that shined on their features was one she knew all to well . “ so happy you’re doing better, “ the young girl beamed , elle gave her a gracious smile , mentally refusing to speak on the topic at all , especially with a stranger , even if the girl was a fan . that was it for that interaction , which elle found rather odd . her brows furrowing slightly as the girl turned away and over to the barista . her eyes scanned the area , eyes landing on a familiar face this time . normally she’d be the type to wave them down and conversate but today she stuck her head back in her notepad , in hopes that she’d gotten away with laying low , for once .

hello , besties ! i’m shan , how’re yall livin ? i know i’m pretty late with getting this out , but whew i’ve had the craziest schedule the last few days ! either way i couldn’t be more excited to get to know all of yall + your characters ! i have a google doc linked below ( it also has some wanted connections at the botom of the doc ) but i figured i’d also put some bullets below , you know , a little tldr; moment going on ? anywho , i have the next two days off so expect me to be around :) with that said if you’d like to plot give this a like or just shoot me a message on discord ( killatrav#5428 )

born in frankfurt , germany to a big time movie producer/director + supermodel ( think steven spielberg + gisele bündchen ) 

being the youngest + only daughter in the family set elle up to be rather spoiled by her parents, something that immediately put a wedge between her + her brother . 

miami became her official home when she was two once her father finished up production on a movie set in germany . 

her childhood was pretty normal , well as normal as a spoiled rich kids life could be. the only true normalcy she had was not having cameras shoved in her face , she was afforded genuine privacy which is not something every celebrity child can say .  

school was a serious matter in the sinclair household , so it was good that elle took to learning + behaving in class well . always top of her class + raved about by her peers + teachers alike . 

at fifteen her parents separated for a few months , her dad + brother moving to los angeles while herself + her mom stayed in miami . elle did not take well to living in a broken home . 

a month in her mom went on a work trip to italy , leaving her fifteen year old [brokenhearted] daughter in a empty mansion alone . it was the perfect recipe to send elle down the wrong path . she started partying + neglecting school . 

first she turned to excessive drinking then when the drinking didn’t do much to numb the pain she turned to drugs , pretty much anything she could get her hands on ( although she had a preference toward cocaine + xanax ) . 

once her mom returned home it didn’t take long before elle’s dirty little secret was aired out . a mother should never find their child overdosed , but that’s exactly what happened . 

the golden child veil was now shed + with the realization that their daughter was falling apart her father moved back home to miami . 

the family may have been back together but what they didn’t realize was elle would never be the same . 

the joyful little girl who could do no wrong was replaced with a sad girl haunted by her own addiction for years to come . she was rather good at putting on a good face though + playing up the jovial rich girl role she’d known for so long . 

her singing career began when she was just sixteen ( against her parents wishes , knowing their daughters struggles , the last thing they wanted was for her to be in any sort of hollywood industry ) . her first album took off + her career has been on an incline ever since ( she has billie eilish as a career claim - i’ll have a detailed career timeline posted soon ) . 

at eighteen she took her public career to the next level when she agreed to do a reality television show ( ex. keeping up with the kardashians vibes ) , the show still films today + has been one of the more popular shows on tv + netflix . 

she is someone who enjoys being famous although many would say it is to her detriment as her addiction has only gotten worse as she’s grown older + more famous . 

she has had three stints in rehab that are known to the public, although, she’s actually been to rehab a total of four times in her life . 

she was released from her latest stint on september eighth of this year ( yes, she’s only been out + about for a week now )

she lives in key biscayne with her two dogs benji ( a black lab ) + molly ( a tan pembroke corgi ) . 

hobby wise she loves partying , brunch , poetry ( really just writing in general ) , surfing , shopping + cooking/baking . 

some of her favorite tv shows are queen of the south , mind hunter , american horror story , big mouth + 60 days in . 

personality wise ? she is kind , fun-loving , smart + extremely rational but also have a sarcastic streak + has never been the best when it comes to emotions , honestly she comes off rather cold + distant when it comes to both her emotions as well as others . she’s not very good at sympathizing with others despite her being such a friendly person . 

as of now that’s all i got , aside from what’s in her bio ( which is really just all this info more in depth ) !
