origins is set in ferelden because if you tried to explain the mere concept of orlais to a freshly out of dust town brosca they'd let the darkspawn win

A very quick study of John Singer Sargent’s “Portrait of Madame X,” except with Vivienne. Because, you know- fandom trash.

Cole wants to help, right? He wanted to help Solas multiple times but he didn't let him, so what if Cole keeps following Solas in the Fade & in reality like a sweet annoying angel on his shoulder, keeps asking & talking, never giving up, trying to help safe his friend in Dragon Age Dreadwolf?
The way Cole is the only one to approve when you want to safe Solas makes this a realistic possibility for DA:D, I'd personally love to see Solas in his wolf cave, planning & pondering, while Cole sits behind him, talking about how much Lavellan misses him 🥹

Can I say something that blows my mind about Varric and Solas’ relationship? Imo Varric was THIS close to actually convincing Solas. we all talk about romanced Lavellan almost getting him to admit everything and possibly give up his plans, but we neeeeddddd to give Varric props like this man was really about to convince a whole ass god (literally named Pride) that he is wrong, that going through with some self destructive attempt at rectifying ur mistakes by destroying the world is Not the proper way to process ur grief, and Varric doesn’t even know he’s doing it. Varric really is the party bard fr the charisma score on this man………..
yes I’m talking about the man on the island banter. Every time I hear it I tear my hair out because VARRIC you almost HAD HIM he was CRUMBLING I just KNOW IT

an alternative to the Vallaslin scene:
I think I'd prefer if Solas attempted to remove Lavellan's vallaslin and finds that he simply is unable to.
Because the Dalish are different, they're not slaves, and removing a Dalish's rite of adulthood is not granting them their freedom. Maybe it's because the ink formula changed over the eons. Maybe the rite is just inherently different.
This not only narratively validifies the Dalish in who they are now, but also drives home the point to Solas that the world is completely different. He's not freeing Lavellan, he's shackling himself.

~30min morrigan doodle before getting back to action! i’m a pretty slow artist, and i blame that to the fact i don’t practice as much as i should. i tried to make every brush stroke count, especially on the face. but then i got to her necklace and spent wayyyy too long disguising the fact i had no idea what i was doing.OTL
good news to my March backlog, I may be able to start working a little sooner than expected. I hope to start sending out emails next week! thank you for your patience :D
