      —   abigail  likes  to  write  her  music  as  something  personal,  but  in  the  eyes  of  somebody  else.  her  life  and  her  feelings,  but  through  the  eyes  of  something  else  entirely  —  in  the  case  of  kyoto,  it’s  the  eyes  of  a  girl  on  tour  in  kyoto,  while  addressing  the  feelings  she  has  about  her  dad.  motion  sickness  is  written  as  a  love  song,  but  is  one  far  from  it,  and  is  not  a  romantic  song,  though  hidden  as  one.  sometimes  though,  she  does  approach  topics  in  her  music  as  herself  —  such  as  in  her  song  killer,  she  explores  her  dark  psyche  and  imagining  her  death  to  cope  with  it,  as  well  as  her  relationship  with  murder.

          she  is  sat  on  a  marble  carved  bathroom  sink,  in  a  bathroom  that  looks  like  it  is  STRAIGHT  out  of  some  swanky  hotel  —  but  in  actuality,  is  just  doctor  lecter’s  private  bathroom  down  the  hall  from  the  kitchen.  the  stitches  have  ripped  open  and  irritated  themselves,  most  likely  caused  by  abigail  jerking  her  head  as  she  had  snooped  around  ;  though  it’s  not  really  snooping  when  you  have  PERMISSION,  is  it  ?  

          abigail  flinches  as  the  good  doctor  replaces  the  gauze  packet  on  her  neck,  blotting  at  the  blood  that  has  seeped  through  the  dark  stitches.  a  constant  reminder,  a  stinging  that  never  goes  away  ;  every  time  she  looks  in  the  mirror,  hatred  will  fester  in  the  form  of  her  father’s  blade,  never  to  let  her  forget  that  she  should’ve  DIED  on  her  kitchen  floor  that  morning.  ❝  that  hurts,  ❞  she  mumbles  softly,  face  twisted  up  into  a  tight  grimace.

          she  stares  at  the  ceiling  as  he  finishes  up,  fists  balled  up  in  her  lap  as  abigail  tries  to  ignore  the  ache  in  her  neck.  ❝  what’s  the  worst  injury  you’ve  ever  gotten  ?  ❞  she  doesn’t  know  much  about  doctor  lecter,  except  for  the  fact  that  he  works  with  the  fbi  and  he  seems  to  be  nice  enough  —  at  least  he  is  to  her.  though  abigail’s  guages  for  reading  people  isn’t  her  strongest  selling  point.  ❝  this  definitely  takes  the  cake  for  me . . .  or  the  time  that  i  broke  my  collarbone  falling  out  of  a  pine  tree.  ❞
