A little reminder

Supporting Palestine isn't an excuse for antisemitism. Being awful towards Jewish people won't help Palestinians. Jewish people ≠ Zionists. Jewish people are still a marginalized group with a history of being oppressed and, just like Palestinians are dealing with now by Israel, having entire groups of people wanting to eradicate their existence. Contributing to that hatred and stigma will not do anything helpful. It is totally possible to criticize and hate on the government of Israel without dragging innocent Jewish people into your hatred. Many Jewish people have nothing to do with what Israel is doing and do not agree with it either. And even with the ones who do- them being Jewish should not be the target. Because them being Jewish is not the problem, being Jewish did not make them support the genocide of Palestinians even when they try to say that's why they support Israel. They chose that, and their choice to support and/or help Israel is the problem. And there are plenty of non-Jewish people who are also helping and supporting Israel.

Point is, fellow pro-Palestine folks: be fucking normal about Jewish people. The actions of one group never justify bigotry towards an entire minority. Supporting Palestine is not a shield freeing you from the ability to be antisemetic.

I hope you don't mind me just doing a little thinking/theorizing here, but I'm REALLY curious about Alastor's microphone, in connection with the mysterious deal he made.

Alastor is usually as cool as a cucumber throughout the whole series...except when his microphone was broken in the fight with Adam.

From his reaction in that moment, and Mimzy's story about Alastor's taking out the other overlords after his return, I'd assumed that he'd sold his soul in order to gain more power, and that the microphone was a gift by whoever he sold his soul to, in order to be a conduit for that power.

Then again, when he's in his tower later, he sings about "unclipping his wings", which would imply that he was more powerful before he sold his soul. If his magic is that strong, then why does he need the microphone at all? Maybe it's more like an amplifier, making up some of the difference for the power he gave up in the deal?

And if that is the case, what (or who) is so important to Alastor, that he'd be willing to hobble his own powers? Maybe protection from extermination for his Mom, or someone else?

There's just much much potential for juicy backstory there, and I'd love to hear what you think!

My brother and I have this thing where sometimes we forget that we live with our parents and we’ll say “my lawyer has advised me not to finish this joke/anecdote” to stop from saying something untoward in front of them and the other day we were talking about sandwiches and fluffernutters came up and I started to say “fluffernutter?
